... you find the perfect inkjet paper.
I can get it from amazon within two days (the last always took about a week which often put me in a tight spot); it's got a cold-pressed watercolour surface; no, TWO cold-pressed watercolour surfaces as it's printable on both sides; I can print straight from my scanned file without having to tweak any colours, contrasts or lightness.
The only downside is that it's slightly too large to be sent in envelopes, but the local print shop will just cut them to size for me at a small cost, and the overall cost still isn't more than the paper I've been using for the last few years. The last I used, an extremely high-end one from Hahnemühle, always messed up the contrast and bleached a lot of my feathery washes. (That makes it sound more dramatic than it was, but it always bothered me!)
Welcome to my life, Bockingford Inkjet!
... Oh, and I also have a radical new haircut and can totally cosplay Newt Scamander next Carnival. AT-AT approves!
