Light of Eärendil - rough digital sketch
Added 2018-12-15 14:43:46 +0000 UTCA new one I hope to work on as school slows down a little at the end of term. Galadriel gathering the light of Eärendil from the fountain.
Eye rambling coming up - feel free to ignore.
There's been no art since the last piece, because my eyesight has become worse again over the last few weeks (and I begin to feel that cold makes it worse). I even went to the doctor again as it's seriously interfering with pretty much my entire life - I can't work without a magnifying glass at school anymore, make a lot of stupid mistakes that I get knocked for, to say nothing at all about art - but the visible spot on my retina that was there in February has completely vanished. That would be good news if it meant that I can see any better. It is, in fact, bad news because the doctors seem to think I'm totally making all this up, and nobody will give me any prescription for really good and really expensive seeing aids, or sign a document saying I can't work as much as my contract says I should.
I suppose it's time for a change of doctors.

The sketch looks beautiful already, and I look forward to see it finished. Now, I also think that is a good idea to have another doctor look into your eye, but specially one that could give you a medical document for your work, so they won’t have you doing too much or provide an assistant to do certain things. When you’re a teacher there are so many things you have to do that involve reading and writing, like lists and grades and tests, and I can’t even imagine how you manage. :( Hope you have some rest during the holidays.
