Here come the archers!

I love this piece already! So glad I got on it.

Remember the suggestion, by many, of doing a Celebrimbor? I've just been part of a great Twitter thread what I realised that Celebrimbor must have made the Elven rings as a conscious nod to the three Silmarils of his grandfather - air, fire, and water - and that making Vilya, Air, the most powerful of the three (and giving it to Gil-galad, as one from the junior houses) was an obvious reconciliation between the house of FΓ«anor and those of Finarfin, Fingolfin, and LΓΊthien, who all suffered for the Silmaril that found its final resting place in the heavens.

A highly symbolic Celebrimbor star portrait is in order, I think!

Haven't realised about air, fire, and water in the context of rings and Silmarils until now too... Thank you for this... not insight, maybe, but so nice explanation) And so eager looking forward a symbolic Celebrimbor portrait!!

Oh, I love this - the intensity of the archers, the monster, the moment. And your Celebrimbor portrait sounds wonderful! He's one of my favorite characters, and I can't wait to see what you do with him.

That sounds like a wonderful idea -- I hadn't made the connection from Celebrimbor to the Silmarils, thank you! I'm re-reading the Silmarillion now, and there are so many things that fall into place -- yesterday's ah-ha! moment was realising that the Ring of Barahir, which Aragorn wears, was given to his remote ancestor at the dawn of time (as far as Men are concerned) in recognition of that ancestor saving the life of ... Galadriel's brother. Who got along very well with Dwarves. O_O

Celebrimbor portrait would be lovely. With the star of Feanor and the star of Earendil.

You did "Fingon's horseriders", didn't you? I'll admit it was a major inspiration for this piece! πŸ’•

One of the moments that I've always wanted to be illustrated! Yay! Sooo looking forward to it!

Wow, it looks amazing! I never thought of that before with Celebrimbor but that only makes me love him more, hehe. Looking forward to that Celebrimbor portrait!
