I really, really love how this one is turning out. And I'm happy that I used all my new greys so harmoniously here.
Listening to Bill Bryson's The Lost Continent - Travels in Small Town America as I paint, and for the first time understood that the song "Fifty Miles into the Main" by Ken Theriot is about the Lost Colony, and that the Kroatoan Virus from Supernatural references the same incident. I love that sound my synpses make when they suddenly connect across vast empty spaces of my brain.
The tutorial will come when this is finished! :)

Wow. Glaurung looks amazing! Very different from your 1995 version - not that that's a surprise, your style has evolved quite a bit since then!

But ohhh this one is very, very tempting.
