Valar pins arriving soon!

If they arrive tomorrow, I'll have a huge problem. I have three video conferences between 9 am and 1 pm - two with my students and one with the staff. I can already see it happening:

Me: "So, let's repeat! What suffixes do we have for adverbs in Latin?"
Student: "It's either an e, or an iter, or an er, depending on--"
*doorbell rings*
Me: "I'M OFF OHMYGOD TEACH YOURSELF SOME LATIN WILLYA"

I'm not sure yet whether they will even appear in my shop straight away - the orders are piling up and I can't even pack them as I can no longer print labels (Deutsche Post won't let me, for countries they don't currently ship to). It will probably take me a month to dispatch all the orders that have been coming in since March, even if no others join them... :/

I'm sorry for the art hiatus, by the way - my life is madness right now. I've basically given up homeschooling the kids - I have no time! I spend hours and hours with remote schooling. I can't believe politicians and other people with opinions say that teachers should give up 30% of their salary, as we're not working anyway. O_o

We did take the "Dormouse Trail", fifteen minutes from our home, on Sunday - we actually have dormice living near here! It had a lot of interesting information on dormice, a lot of which I didn't know - it's good to wise up a little on the lives of dormice when they're not adventuring.

Haha, it just reads "This way!" (literally, "Here goes it along". XD)

I can't wait to buy them <3 And you dormice drawings are the cutest <3

Alex Requis

Absolutely gorgeous pins!! I will certainly get them all. My order is going to be huge when you can finally ship it!! Please take care of yourself and don't worry about us, we worry about you!! What a nice picture of you. And love the little dormouse!

Vivienne E Collins

The pins are lovely! Your schedule sounds hellaciously hectic! Having a dormouse trail nearby sounds like fun, although I (shamefacedly) admit that my eyes default to trying to see English, and I read the sign as "here (to the) gent's whatever (water?)" -- noooo, not a bathroom sign! %D And you are inspiring me to try to remember my high school Latin, from LO! so many years ago ...

"Blade" McMicking, D.I.

I'm looking forward to seeing those pins and eventually buy them! Please, don't feel sorry for the hiatus, it's perfectly understandable: those are difficult times after all, for all of us!! And aww, yes, let's take care of the lovely dormice that live nearby <3

Hang in there, Jenny.

Oh my! I'll bet you anything I have fewer than two students per class who would even understand the concept, let alone be able to do it!

A doormouse trail? How auspicious! :D Our Latin teacher always let us do what he called "Dr Willers Gedächtnistraining" when he was called to the office or had to leave the classroom for some other reason. He dropped a verb and a person and then we had to conjugate that verb starting with that person, moving on one person and one time as it went around the classroom. So he'd be like "vocare, 2. Person Plural" and we'd have to go vocatis, vocabant, vocabo, voces, vocaret and so on until we'd gotten to the end! In theory, the last person was expected to choose a new verb, but in practice, we generally decided that we had been diligent enough at that point... but it kept us occupied for a while. It's been a mad week indeed! But don't you know, teachers are ALWAYS lazy and ALWAYS enjoying half a day off anyway! No wonder politicians and populists will jump at a new opportunity to talk crap...
