Tiny Tuesday previews!

The Maedhros and Finrod I did first took terribly long - not the painting itself, but the drying in between! So I actually did the next four simultaneously, always working on one while the others dried. That's a wonderful way to work. Of course, in a larger-sized painting, I always work like it, but a larger-sized painting always has a dry spot I can work on!

I'm not that happy with Maglor. He looks a little as if he sent his stunt double. (And his stunt double is Brad Pitt?!)

I intend to do at least two or three more for Tuesday.

Here's how it works:

I'll put up all the little paintings in one go on Tuesday night, priced at about 60-90 Euros (some matted, too). Shipping is worldwide, but for the US, I'd like to wait for my olive branch guinea pigs to land before I ship again. ;)

I decided to do it at 9 pm CET; that means that for most of the world, at least for all the countries where people have already told me they'd be waiting, it's a halfway moderate time (noon or early afternoon for the US, evening in central Europe, late evening in Eastern Europe and Russia, early morning in Australia). Here's a handy little page that shows you what time that is where you are! (Can we talk about that 7.30, Adelaide? =O)

Several of you have already asked me if they can call first dibs, but I think an advance time is fairer - that way, people in non-central European time zones have equal chances of picking up one of these.

There'll definitely be more, and I'll also offer prints later, so if you're unlucky on Tuesday, there's always a later chance!

Now, MarchofMaedhros! Here's an oldie classic some of you may know - "Maedhros alone stood aside", painted in *gulp* 2005. That actually is one I want to revisit at some point. Back then, it was done in Photoshop over black and white watercolour shading. Aspects of it still hold up really well, I think.

Prints! Yes, I'll go for them. They're so lovely! Also, I'm really enjoying your #MarchOfMaedhros, both new art and retrospectives. <3

This is exciting ! And I do like this Maedhros, everything in this piece seems perfectly relevant to the moment. I love it !
