MarchofMaedhros, Q&A

I dug even deeper into the archives (the ones in my closet which screams "tidy me!!"), and found some Maedhros sketches I've definitely never shared before.

The one above comes up in my sketchbook some three times in 2005, but never was taken further. I think I recycled the idea for Gil-galad some twelve years later.

Also from the 2005 sketchbook. In the first page, I'd inscribed it GRAVEYARD OF IDEAS, and that was pretty apt - my son was not quite a year old, and most things I drew never left the scribbling stage. The one above was finished, but only because it was a commission back then - Maedhros and the dying Curufin in Menegroth. I actually prefer the simple layout to the final version that later happened.

From 2015, a scene from my fanfic "Spark". Maedhros and Fingolfin.

And here's one that has nothing to do with Maedhros but when I found it in my 2005-6 sketchbook, I nearly died. XD

Next attempt for our Q&A! I've set up a Webex meeting for tomorrow afternoon, 5 pm CET. I'll send the link to the relevant tiers in a minute! =)

Aw, thank you! *hug*

I'm loving every bit of this and I really appreciate it that you’re sharing it to us. I didn’t comment on it but the first piece of your art I came across with was the sketch where Maedhros is walking with his arm on a sling. I kept googling and there was the Most of me painting. Which in turn led me to Spark (oh, the Maedhros and Fingolfin sketch is powerful!). Which was the first Silm fanfic I ever read and made me shut up about the awful things I used to say about this particular genre. And, at the same time, helped me cope with my mom's passing. Some months later I ordered Maedhros reunites with his brothers. All in all, your art continues to make me very happy. Thank you!

Oh, that's really cool - never before seen sketches! Also, thank you so much for sharing the last one, that made me laugh!
