Gouachy mouse

This was weird.

I sat down and thought I knew exactly what I wanted to paint. Of course, when you don't know your medium, it's almost impossible to paint what you want. So I painted something else, hated most things about it, thought I'd just finish the face, and maybe the leaf here, oh and let's do some leafy stuff over there, and what the heck, might as well do some darker shadows there.

I turned away to check my emails (with new school closures on the horizon), then turned back to the painting I thought I hated, seemed to see it for the first time, and thought, hang on, THAT'S what I did? Wow!

I wish I could say I was being a good girl and did my gouache course homework, but it was a painting of a vase and it had green and orange AND purple in it, and I haven't found the courage yet.

I spent most of last week packing mousy pin orders. The Arien, Tilion etc pins are in production, and I'm happy to say that the dormouse pins did well enough that I can design the other five character classes!
