Kaladin and Shallan - chasm trip sketches

Especially the "chasm trip" chapters, where Kaladin and Shallan go from driving each other up the chasm walls to saving each other's lives, and opening up their heart to the other in a way they’ve never done with anyone. I wouldn’t say I ship them - I love Adolin too much for that - but their dynamic is just so beautiful.

I love this! Like you, I don't ship them--and I was glad when she finally decided on Adolin and stopped waffling back and forth--but I do love their relational dynamic. The chasm scenes really developed their relationship so well. I particularly love the sketch on the top left (Kal just looks sooooo done haha), but bottom-left is a close second!

2025-03-04 06:25:39 +0000 UTCYes, I intended that to be the scene where she tells him that maybe, people don’t dislike him because he’s a darkeyes, but because he’s an arsehole. 😁 To her credit, it’s her only comment that’s way out of line. Everything else is intended to be funny. It’s just that Kaladin hates being on the receiving end of lighteyes jokes.
