Details on Work for 0.02.4

So, back again to expound a little bit on what I'm working on for the next release. The big things are setting up the outline of the job system, and putting the structure of the rest of the prologue in place. 

Prologue Structure

This is fairly straight forward. it's basically putting the passages and everything in place that stretch from your evening with Lily after finishing your paperwork, to the Week Summary (tutorial version) and Week Planner to plan your first week. There's a decent amount of time skipping that happens in the prologue, with moving into your new home and a few other things. To go along with the sentiment of reaching open play sooner, these will mostly be mostly-empty passages with a brief blurb explaining "what belongs here". As the remaining systems that need explaining are built they'll be plugged in. The story content, like Lily's tour of Appletree and interaction with the realtor, will be pushed back later in stage one.

Job System

The bulk of the work will be happening here. While there won't actually be any story content in your job for a while (or promotions/demotions/getting fired), it's still necessary to set up the basics because it's an important part of play. Some of the things that the job system has to do for open play:

Expected Release

Backer and cheat versions 0.02.4 should be released by Monday morning (18th) U.S. time. If things go smoothly, I might be able to release Saturday. If there are unexpected problems, the release may be as late as late-night on Monday. 

I'm also going to start on the day control system. Because this will be basically invisible to everyone right now unless they examine the code, and it won't be finished for this release, I'm not really going to expound on it much yet. :)
