Vincenzo Episode 15

Comments

Pausing this at the 23 min. mark. I'm just so upset at how Prosecutor Jung turned out to be a bad guy. Like, for me, he was supposed to be the White Knight. Like, Cha-young and Vincenzo were supposed to do the dirty work, because they can't pursue Babel and win through lawful means, but Prosecutor Jung was supposed to seal the lid on all that work — that Babel and cohorts would be punished morally and legally, and there would be no coming back from ruins through public opinion. I feel like we lost a key archetype narrative-wise, so I hope someone not morally ambiguous will come out of the woodwork to seal the on-coming execution, which we already know is going to be grand and will implicate everybody. Otherwise, we would just be watching Korean Gotham continuing to flourish.

Ahh~ that's admirable. I'm pretty stubborn myself in that my family rather I be discreet. I tend to be pretty blatant about my beliefs, even though it puts me in awkward situations sometimes. I kind of agree that it makes you seem meek or unserious in your faith if you try to hide it, but at the same time, there are just situations where I think it's better to be smart than faithful, which I understand is a very Norse Pagan way of thinking and not everyone agrees. I've been refused from many jobs, kicked out of schools, harassed and bullied way too much before things became more progressive so I see value in both sides. I have a lot of respect for people who can be surrounded by others who hate them for their religion and still maintain "this is what I believe in" :3 It's pretty cool to watch those people pave the way for others.

And in the New Testament many Christians died rather than renounce Jesus or Christianity. There’s an aspect of always representing God and Christ everywhere you go so tricking others into thinking you’re worshipping Buddha would make others think you don’t take your faith seriously.

In the Bible it says you shall not worship any other gods. And in the story of shadrach, meshach, and abednego (sorry spelling) they refuse to bow down to a statue, even in pretend, even to save their own lives. God saves them in the end. I, personally, would never even pretend to worship another god. I’m sure it differs person to person, though.

That interesting I'm Jewish and and imitating another religion is not allowed the majority says you can only do that if your life is in danger but there are some rabbis that still don't agree. sorry for my English if I messed up something

iPhone Face ID doesn’t unlock if your eyes aren’t open. So it gets kinda dark if we try to get towards that side of the talk. As in if it would work on a dead person. Meanwhile fingerprint system on Androids is much easier to unlock if you’re just asleep as well!

Md Sheam Bin Sayhid

Yall, I promise nobody is judging you for getting one answer right each 🤣 that's probably more than the rest of us, I was impressed! I died laughing when Han-seo said "bench-press" though lol I may be wrong, but I don't think non-Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Jehova witness, maybe Muslim?) Have anything that says you can't imitate another religion? I'm curious to know, but I think that's only an organized religion sort of standard, since they don't want members questioning their religion and finding another one. I see a lot of cases where non-abrahamic religious people will pretend to be another religion for various reasons, or temporarily convert, and in Japan's case, they just incorporate other religions into their culture and balance them. I'm curious if anyone else's religion has rules that you can't do that? (I'm Norse pagan, and in my case, my family, pretended to be Mormon to be taken to America during the period that Scottish people's were experiencing slavery and huge famine from the contention between Protestant and Catholics)

Always hilarious that Disney princess Vincenzo survived this episode purely cause of birds

(Long, im sorry, but worth reading i promise, ) Oh Gods no, I don't want to be that person 😂 "You don't understand art~" lol but I'm compelled by random bank of knowledge dang it! So we all have our tastes, that's fine lol I just think Wes's hate for that art piece and criticisms for that style is a weeeeee harsh lol, but I understand that most people actually have no clue what makes art.. art. I took an art class to hopefully get better at drawing, but it turned out to be a class on art history and culture of art (basically how to understand it and interpret it) and it's actually very fascinating and interesting how there's a secret science to methods of expression that go back into ancient greece and even Babylon. Architecture is a type of art, for example, because they apply concepts of balance, angles, texture, what it invokes emotionally. The way we are meant to look at art isn't only in the view of it from 5 ft back. Everything about it is methodical and purposeful. The artist conveys secret meanings using the tools they use, the strokes, the angles, the colors, the media and medium they use. That stone slab might've been a rare type of stone used in an ancient civilization that has been wiped out, and the feet prints might have been made using a war veteran who lost everything because of PTSD (these are examples of what I would do to convey the void of nothingness and being alone, like "nothing left") but even where the feet are positioned. The Greeks found that similar to the golden ratio, certain angles and positions evoke certain emotions in us, so something in a distant 3 quarter view might make us feel lonely, forlorn, left behind. Ooh! There's a political artist I know of that's a perfect example. To us westerners, it looks like he's just breaking pottery in random places, but when you delve in, you learn that he's a Chinese man who sees the long standing corruption in his country's methods and he digs into very concerning, horrible situations such as the Chinese government enforcing the use of cheaper building materials and encourage conflating building papers or whatever to cut corners without concerning the associations who are fighting for better, safer building construction. When a school suddenly collapsed like a glass house from something that shouldn't have done anything but leave a hole, it raised alarms that the construction permits, blueprints, whatever else were lied on and that they were cutting corners. Some people began investigating the situation and started finding that basically all buildings made since a certain time frame were lied about and were considerably flimsier than any multi-story building should be. When these people tried to report it and get the problems solved before more lives were lost (because yes, every student and teacher in that school died) the government started arresting them for ridiculous crimes and as soon as they get out, they would arrest them for something else, and some people even went missing. The political artist tried to look into this, finding that the government wouldn't name all the victims of the school accident, that there was a complete media block on the entire thing, and found that families of the victims were warned not to talk about it. He tried to speak out but he kept getting locked up and he says he was even basically tortured by being beaten until promising he'd stop bringing up "closed matters" so since he couldn't "speak" he began doing statement art at his gallery and online, where he finds historical, ancient prized pottery from specifically a certain area of China from certain time periods that relate to historical events of China's corrupt deeds, and he aggressively throws them down and shatter them. He'll also break them on other symbols, like pieces of the poor quality walls stolen from sites where buildings collapsed or were being demolished for being unsafe. The time of day he does it sometimes corresponds to the times people went missing or died, ect. The government has tried many times to shut his gallery down (he keeps popping back up after being removed from one building) arresting him, extortion, they try shutting down all his pages, and there was even a period of time he went missing and when he showed up again, he was completely broken and stopped posting for a while. Aaaaanyway, I'm sorry, this was slightly veering off topic 😅 my point is, even if we don't like it or don't understand it, even these meta vague metaphorical art pieces are very methodical and purposeful with so much depth and meaning that aren't always apparent to us viewers. I hope this brings a little bit more compassion to artwork, even if it's not your tastes. ☺️💜
