Everyone picked their team w/o knowing what the game was and when they got up there it simply came down to who was better at pulling a rope. If they took women or older contestants into consideration like you said then that would be EQUITY bc then they’d be leveling the playing field for everyone by giving women and older players a handicap (and therefore giving disadvantaged groups a leg up at the expense of the “advantaged” groups).

Greed…opportunity, whatever you wanna call it (and without spoiling too much) they’re doing it bc they saw the chance to make even more money given the circumstance they’re working in

Just wanted to add, the players can quit with majority votes however if they do they don't get any money, the money accumulated goes to the players families who died. Hence no one will quit the game just to save their lives since they don't get anything in return. I have so many more things to say but I will hold off till last episode since I dont want to spoil anything.

2024-06-01 03:17:29 +0000 UTCIf I understand it correctly, players can’t stop and split the money in the bank. They can vote to stop, and if majority votes to not play anymore, then money are just sent to families of deceased people. So yeah, if you want to get money, you have to win the game
