2024-07-14 02:50:08 +0000 UTCI feel like re:zero is the best show for them because both of them really enjoy story driven shows with a side of action and while hxh has an amazing story re:zero is more fitted towards human emotions realistically, We all know steph loves a good story and the characters are amazingly written. Im excited to watch them react to it. (P.S hxh is reallyyyyyyyyyyy long and slow at some parts that also influenced my decision)

2024-07-04 18:36:51 +0000 UTCi mean, yeah, its only about half the amount of hxh but i would still say its a more of a lenghty show rather then short... and why is it important if hxh gets ever finished or not ? its just weird to me that people try to measure a show by its lenght/amount of episodes. will re zero be considered bad in the future if it ever reaches about 150~ episodes ?

2024-07-04 18:16:49 +0000 UTCi mean common, you know how i meant it, why you try to diverd. i never said its the same or even implied it. where you get that 15 to 1 ratio from ? even short animes have more then 10 episodes, usually 20+ with multiple seasons. more like 3:1 or maybe 5:1 if you really wanna stretch it. a really good show justifies that in my opinion. comparing food to anime/tv show is also a bit far fetched if you ask me. its not like they would only watch one long show, they have multipe shows going on at the same time. you think they shouldn have watched attack on titan for example ? since they are doing it for close to 2 years now. that could have been 5 other shows, right ?

For example, Hunter X Hunter is 148 ep long (a-ma-zing anime but that's not even the end of the story). 1ep a week, it will take almost 3 years (!) to watch it all. 2 episodes a week, 1 year and a half. Same about My Hero Academia and Saiki K. Jojo must be close to 200 episodes. I tend to advise against reacting to such long shows when you can't release many ep a week, for several reasons.

Those are naturally faster paced and episodes tend to be more fleshed out and have a lot going on. Longer Anime have a lot more "empty" episodes and arcs, which can get super tedious if you don't binge them in one go. If they are gonna stick with 1 or 2 episode per week I am afraid it will feel more of a chore to them at times than the usual fun-time they have

2024-07-02 20:57:22 +0000 UTCthere’s a reason why most of those anime are so popular—they are simply that good, appealing to a wide range of audiences. naturally, they get recommended frequently, but i am confident that Wes and Steph will enjoy them too, as they experience these shows for the first time. why would anyone want to take that away from them? just because you saw 10 other reactions to that anime ? but i also can understand your point somewhat. for instance, looking at this poll, it's surprising to see a show like steins gate getting fewer votes than a more generic anime like tokyo ghoul. however, i think i can see why that might be the case. most people get bored if nothing explodes at least every 2 episodes

2024-07-02 18:15:44 +0000 UTCi maybe agree to the genre thingy, to get a new touch in every now and then but what has the amount of episodes to do with how good a show is ? attack on titan is about 100 episodes and they loved it... and im sure they would have watched more if there were more also, if they really want to watch a certain show/genre they could just do it, like they did with Delicious in Dungeon just recently ? its not like 100% of the watched shows have to be polled @vivi wu what does light hearted even mean ? slice of life/comedy/romantic ? if you ask me most of the anime they watched till now arent light hearted but they still enjoyed them alot as far as i can tell

2024-07-02 02:49:15 +0000 UTCi know what you mean. my point is, you will forget/dont catch or missremember stuff anyway, it doesnt matter if the 20 episodes contain 2 hours anime time or 2 months anime time. i agree with the first part of your comment, that its probably not good to stretch it out to 3 years for patreon/youtube, but i disagree that the experience gets worse just because the story in the anime gets denser and happens over a shorter timeframe. also i never said that 1 episode per week is the best approach, i even said that it should be more if possible, just hinted at it, that its still a fan favorite show despite that and doesnt make the show bad if you chose to approach it that way. in the end wes and steph have to decide how much they can or want to invest.

Wes and Steph doesn’t even remember that the old man was never killed on screen on squid game and that was only 4 week difference. Can you imagine how many details can be missed from the beginning of Chimera Ant to the end? Besides, just because 1 per week is how it was aired doesn’t mean that’s the best approach to watch a show. No logic there.

2024-07-02 02:06:19 +0000 UTCwhy does it matter how much time in the anime passed compared to to the time i used watching it ? i mean, i see by watching the episodes how much time passed in the anime. people watched it just like that at the official release, 1 per week. but i agree that it probably woulnd be a good fit here and 3 years likely be too long.

Those have a lot of episodes, and it could take you 2-3 years to complete one of them for the rate of one episode per week. Studio Gek will usually react to 3-5 anime shows per week with 2 episodes per reaction. They're currently watching Naruto which has about 500 episodes (including Shippuden), so they are releasing 5 episodes per reaction release which is after having done a few 12 hour binges.

At one point it takes 24 episodes to tell the story of what happens in a day, and it will be a bad experience to take HALF A YEAR to see what happened in a few hours

2024-07-02 00:54:59 +0000 UTCone piece is great. but there is no way they will ever watch it, as reaction anime, way to many episodes. would recommend the live action in that case, which is actually good. season 2 just started filming... or even wait a bit more, for the anime "remake" with hopefully better pacing (fewer episodes)

2024-07-02 00:47:07 +0000 UTCya, its even almost 150~ episodes. definitly would be insane watching only one episode per week. but maybe they can switch it up ? didnt they watch Delicious In Dungeon recently and almost "binged" it ? mha is about the same lenght, if you dont count the movies, maybe a bit longer when the new season ends. would be sad to miss out on a gem like HxH just because there are a few more episodes... heck even attack on titan was about 100 episodes.
