This is probably rage bait but if it isn’t, this is just ignorant. Just screaming, “These anime you’re watching aren’t good cause I don’t think they’re good”. And I’d get it if you compared them with really good shows that “rival aot and Frieren”. But you choose Overlord, Tanya, Bluelock, Cyberpunk, and Parasyte. Somehow we are supposed to take this seriously cause they aren’t “rivaling” anything, given that they are still good shows they show watch in the future. I get it, the show YOU LIKE didn’t get chosen in poll, so you think it’s “cause everyone holding onto this ‘sentimental’ thing and don’t actually know real peak” and ur tryna speak on behalf of everyone. Well you don’t speak for Wes and Steph cause you “know” them since they’ve been enjoying these, and you def don’t speak for those who’ve been watching these reactions each week. I don’t mean any of this too harshly but Ur 24 dude, you’re not spoiled child. I felt the your comment came more from a place of frustration since you like the reactors, not the shows. But once again you don’t get everything.

I thought you would recommend some truly peak anime, but Blue Lock (honestly, this one is terrible), Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Tanya the Evil, and Overlord? They’re not bad, actually, they’re good, but they’re far from peak. What you’re trying to say doesn’t make much sense if you’re recommending these titles. I’m sorry, dude, but I’ve watched way more than 300 anime, probably around 400+, and there are plenty of better ones than what you’re suggesting. If you’ve watched as many anime as you claim, you should know that too. When I started reading, I thought you’d recommend something like Monster, Ginga Eiyū Densetsu (Legend of the Galactic Heroes), Code Geass, Made in Abyss, Mushishi, Hajime or something that truly blows your mind. But this...? Parasite is one that I would like them to watch, and Cyberpunk as well, but your reasoning doesn’t make any sense. It seems that you just want them to watch your taste. I’ve watched all of these that you’re recommending, but the only ones worth reacting to, I would say, are Parasite and Cyberpunk

“Fullmetal has 0 rewatch value” Wes literally rewatched it and enjoyed it, lol. And he chose to do so himself. I enjoyed every second of rewatching FA, Steins;Gate and Haikyuu with W&S. You don’t speak for “us fans”. I totally understand the disappointment, even frustration, when your favourite shows aren’t winning the polls. I, too, have shows that I consider “actually good show” that weren’t selected. We all do. But don’t go brush off others’ favourites as “only have sentimental values” or “not actually good shows”. You are more mature than that.

I don't even think Steins;Gate's pacing is that slow tbh. Then again, I'm used to One Piece lol, but still... The first few episodes are definitely kind of a slow burn until things start to click and the story really gets moving, and I won't say it's got fast pacing or anything, but I wouldn't call it slow personally either.

You have TERRIBLE taste in anime dude. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Overwatch, but it's not great. I also like Parasyte, but it's kind of cringe just how on the nose its messaging is. I haven't watched Cyberpunk, so I can't say for sure, but it looks good and probably the best one you've listed here. Blue Lock is just a joke of an anime tbh lol. But Steins;Gate is one of the all time classics that every anime fan should watch at some point and HxH is highly regarded as one of the best shonens of all time!! Maybe you can't understand and follow the plot of something like Steins;Gate, and that's fine. It's not for everyone. But to act like it's not objectively good, even if it's not your particular cup of tea, is just a completely L take. And to say that they should disregard what the community as a whole votes for and just watch what YOU personally think is your favorite animes, even though they're objectively not nearly as loved by the majority of anime fans, is just extremely conceited, selfish, and F***ed up of you. It's not all about YOU dude.

Stein's;Gate's slow pacing is very typical of an old anime. It is very often criticised, but the upside is it allows viewers to form a much stronger attachment with the characters and the world, just by spending more time with them. These old shows really reward patient viewers with a much stronger emotional impact when they finally drop the bombs.
