So either episode 36 or 38 basically finishes off the intro arcs of HxH and imo makes for a good first chunk to have for the youtube compilation if you guys plan on doing one for this show. And there'll be another arc change in the 60s to use for another stopping point before the rest that's kinda hard to break up nicely. Otherwise god save whoever has to edit the 50ish hours worth of footage to do a single vid for all 148eps once this is over..

I think an important thing to take away from this is when Kurapika says, “that which exceeds human limits is impossible.” However, we’ve seen what humans can do with nen, so what really is the upper limits? There’s omnipotent and there’s something so strong that it’s comparatively omnipotent. Killua ripped a dudes heart out without nen and yet there’s still so much he has to learn.

I'm pretty sure that, besides the short backstory at the beginning, the story in the movie(s) is not canon, so it's not really that relevant. The movie(s) aren't even written by the same author. As a big HxH fan, I don't consider the movies a must-watch. They're okay, I guess - can be some fun time, but nothing I would expect from movies based on a series as good as HxH.

I'm pretty sure it's already been said in the comments of a previous episode, but I would like to reiterate. Ging is a Hunter, and he wants Gon to track him down, hunt him if you would. Just like how there are Gourmet Hunters like Menchi and Buhara or Ruins Hunters like Satotz; You could say that Gon is a Hunter (x) Hunter.

The reason Kurapika's eyes might look a little different when they glow and why those people didn't immediately point out he's Kurta is because he wears lenses, so you see the glow around the eye. SO excited for the movie!! I hope you guys watch it. It is plot relevant to this storyline. I also got "manipulator" and it's 100% accurate for me lol so I might take the test again to see if I have a 2nd, but I'm pretty comfortable with this one. It basically says you can control objects and people, you're analytical and don't make decisions without assessing situations, letting logic and reason rule your decision making. I jokingly said "true, cuz I am a control freak" 😂 I have to be able to feel in control of situations or of my things, my life, relationships (not in the toxic abuse way but in a more consent-dom way.. sorry children) or else I kinda spiral 😅 I still have OCD tendencies left over from when I really struggled with it in HS, so like if my books aren't properly placed on my shelf, I freak out that my life is falling apart, or if I touch dish water without my gloves, my microbiome is being infested with microbial bacteria and I feel it crawling in my skin and I'm going to die from illness.. that kinda thing. Anyway, so I need some control over something in order to feel safe. I am also very pragmatic (when not trauma related) and realistic, very analytical, I like to explore all avenues of a topic or of my options when purchasing. I tend to be very indecisive because I can see all the good and bad points of things. I also LOVE to just sit and watch things play out and analyze why it's happening, what is happening, how might it go better or worse, like running little simulations in my brain, then placing myself into those situations to see how I'd do it or relate to it. (Hence you'll see me relating myself to situations or using myself as an example a lot as a form if empathizing, leading people to misread that I'm just being a narcissist 😅 but it really is just me saying "well this is how I relate to this situation" or "I empathize with you because this is how I felt in a similar scenario" kind of thing) Also even in the name, it's not my best trait and I really have worked a lot on not being this way, but I can be so manipulative. Usually I do it for good reasons, like emotionally manipulating loved ones into making better choices, but I would have my bad bad moments too, especially as a kid 😅 demon child, I was.. the way I would steal a toy or candy and play the owners/cops/my mom like a fiddle.. smh Omg, I have the most horrible, real world example of me using all my "Manipulator" attributes ever 😂 it's so funny but not funny. I dunno if I should tell it though. I guess if anyone's curious, lmk. It's definitely not my proudest moment, but it's a perfect display of how a "manipulator" archetype would handle a situation in the real world. Trying to think of a good, positive example, but I don't usually remember the positive things I do 😅 only my regrets. Probably something I should discuss with my therapist lol. Oh! I know! Probably when it came to work stuff, my traits were good for positive-ish reasons. Like I could easily jump into any chaotic situation, assess what needs to be done, then smooth things over with the customers, either completely changing their attitude, or at least making them feel contrite for tearing us apart usually. I wasn't so good at the physical aspects of my job and I couldn't cook or multitask to save my life, plus I was physically too slow, but they kept me on and made me manager and such because I followed the rules/safety guidelines to a T, and I practically ran the store as an assistant manager (even though I wasn't getting the title or the pay for it 🙄) but i did the best at paperwork, customer care, safety stuff, unbottle-necking us by delegation by knowing who should go where and do what, ect. ☺️ Hmmm.. you know.. I think HxH test might've just figured out what kind of work I could excel in 🤔

I honestly think there's some merit to the idea that the nen types are characterized a lot by what they *aren't* in addition to the obvious personality identifiers that you can associate the type with. Ex: I exhibit both enhancer and conjurer traits (tests varied on what I got), but I would say most definitively that I do NOT identify with Emitter or Manipulator traits, and although I don't want to admit it, I have some Transmuter traits (which reside between Enhancer/Conjurer). On that note, transmuter traits tend to be those that most people subconsciously identify as problematic, so generally speaking when talking about ourselves we want to avoid saying we are 'deceitful' or 'tricky', just like how most manipulators wouldn't want to be considered 'proud' or 'controlling'. Makes it difficult to pinpoint, for sure.

I might remember wrong but didn't hisoka say he has his own method to figure out someone's new type by personality, but it wasn't reliable. makes sense that your nen tests came up with different results 😂

The first episode really highlights the difference between Killua and Gon. While Killua is super cautious - immediately making backups of the cassette and memory card, avoiding discussing important information over the phone, and refraining from using his own PC to access certain websites, Gon is still very naive and gullible, not really thinking about the consequences of his actions. Fun fact: Gon’s bond with Mito is even cuter when you know that their voice actors are actually mother and daughter in real life. The second episode introduces us to the new arc, which is arguably the best one for many fans. Some things you noticed: Kurapika’s eyes - other characters can’t see the red color right now, it’s only visible to the audience. This isn’t a huge spoiler, but you’ll find out why later, would just be confusing if you dont know. Also, great catch, Steph, about his chains being visible all the time :) Even though it doesn’t look very flashy right now, Kurapika has one of the most interesting and coolest Nen abilities in the entire series.
