Vinland Saga S2 Episode 14

Comments

If you remember the quote from Ecclesiastes earlier this is very inspired from how it talks about there sometimes being no right answers

Kriidex

Awe~ poor Stephanie! This was definitely a rough episode. And just knowing that this is going on while the shit with Canute and Ketil is happening... good luck getting through these next couple of episodes 🤧 Arnheid is right, a storm is coming...

Its a really nice love letter to gamers (well pvp and rpg gamers) but i dont think they would enjoy it that much, nor would most of the patrons enjoy seeing them watch it

Yellow_Flash

Oh boy. The storm is here indeed, brace yourselves.

I know what you mean, it is a good show, but only a good show, there is nothing amazing, special or unique about it. Above the average in all aspects, but that's it. Not really worth reacting to.

22:39 The birthrate was very high (even if there was a high infant mortality), so life was considered cheap back then, unless you were some noble. No matter how many died, there was barely enough food the fields were able to produce to feed those alive anyway. But yeah the viking age was chaotic (even if it's slighly past that age here). Only when scandinavian kingdoms stabilized you didn't risk your village to be attacked as much. Unless there was a war of course (like england vs denmark in season 1). When there was a war, villagers around battlegrounds were often the first to suffer. People back then were tough. They had the same emotions as us, and were still very sad when they lost a child (most children didn't reach 15), but they still went on. Those who didn't, didn't live. I think that's why faith was so much more important to a lot of people back then, it enabled people to endure by hoping for a better tomorrow, even if it's in heaven. But I also think it was possible for them to go on because that's all they ever knew, while we grew up pampered by modern society. It hurts more when you fall from very high.

I will get up and leave if they start that show (been here 2 years)

Arnheids backstory is one of the saddest in the show, I'm a person that pretty much never tears up at any movies or TV shows but this episode was the exception for me

Josh Ashford

You guys should watch shangri la frontier (an anime) whenever you get time. Think they just released the opening for season 2. It’s a really good anime

applejuice man

Great episode
