2024-09-09 22:34:13 +0000 UTCthe roswall thing is maybe debatable, but if you tell me that another character is also isekaid its clearly a spoiler, a big one even. "it was supposed to be there" what ? just because the anime didnt pick up on it yet it doesnt mean it wont be a topic in later episodes or seasons.

2024-09-07 05:50:58 +0000 UTCThank you for switching to saying Rem/Ram normally lol <3 Also, as y'all kinda said the ending is rough... The issue is also as you said along, Emilia has no memories of what Subaru appreciates her for. If we look at this world line from Emilia's view: He saved her at the loot house (as a complete stranger), he saved all the village children, and that's about it. She has no memory of ever doing much for him outside of healing him after the first forest encounter. Imagine if you spent a while with someone, went back in time, and then show that person the affection of your future'd relationship, they may end up finding your behaviour discomforting or confusing since they "don't know that you"

2024-09-06 08:34:31 +0000 UTCWhjy the absolute fuck would you post any of that. The Al thing isn't said in the anime, it's a spoiler... Anime and manga/LN choose different fucking pacings intentionally. If they mention it in Season 6 for example, then you've now spoiled people 5 seasons in advance. Use your fucking brain?!

2024-09-06 02:29:11 +0000 UTCI hate these episodes. I know that the things here had to happen, and I know its important for the MC to have some character flaws to make him feel more human. I know it was frustrating to be able to have all this past knowledge, but he also is not allowed to share any of it. When things aren't working out with the wife, sometimes it's best to separate, get some space, get some perspective, and spend some high quality time with your side piece; Face it: Rem #1 waifu.

2024-09-06 02:28:24 +0000 UTCit funny no reactors recognised when Wilhelm said his last name is “van astrea”, same as Reinhard lol btw the last scene was my favourite, but the original does it better with the music

2024-09-05 17:18:44 +0000 UTCAuthor really had some balls with the dialogue in the last scene. If I remember correctly he got some backlash after forcing some introspection on the readers when the otaku self-insert said "You fucking owe me, cause I was a nice guy"

2024-09-05 17:04:13 +0000 UTCTrue. He’s supposedly a socially inept failure before he got isekaied. It was only a matter of time before he embarrassed himself like that. Glad they actually followed through with it considering how it’s such a perfect setup for what’s to come.

2024-09-05 05:27:41 +0000 UTCA pivotal episode in Re:Zero, which adds another piece to its narrative and thematic construction. A particularly emotionally challenging arc has begun. No one can be ready. Next week's gonna be wild.

2024-09-05 00:09:50 +0000 UTCEpisode 7 and episode 13 of this season made me really like this anime. My opinion but the ending theme songs of the director's cut doesn't fit as well as the regular season episodes. I might be biased but I noticed it on a couple episodes.

2024-09-04 22:02:48 +0000 UTCI am lucky on this one, all my friends who are into animes actually like or don't mind to follow a protagonist who is flawed or morally grey. But looking at the shit storm when this episode came out... I guess shows like RE ZERO, Mushoku tensei or even chainsaw man are too much for some people. I guess some people just want an almost perfect MC to escape reality for a bit witch is not a bad thing, but flawed characters are such a breath of fresh air in the anime genre.

2024-09-04 21:59:55 +0000 UTCI think the word would be "bitter" cuz I been there. 😅 which makes me want to smack him even more lol what he's doing is a complete character regression. He's so desperate for things to be "ok" that he's lashing out like a rabid dog and that's what disgusted Julius and Emilia, while Reinhardt and Felis just felt bad for him. He's just disgracing himself and Emilia out of selfish sel-satisfaction and that's what makes this ep more gruesome than all the horrific death ones, because he has to live with the consequences of these actions. It's such good "horror" writing~ Anyway, it's very much a PTSD/depression/BPD response and way too real, so I think it makes me the most upset lol like the first time I watched this, I had to keep pausing for a breather because I just needed to insert myself into the show and smack Subaru around a bit. Just a tad.. 😤 I'm with the other candidates "he needs to get some sense beat into him, so let him face a bit of reality that he can't do anything the way he is now" Also, as a ADHD child, I vouch for child-leashes 😂 my poor mom. (Though I was a weird one who WANTED to be on the leash and purposely did things to warrant being put on one) But I was chaos incarnate and purposely ran away and hid in stores to scare her, hiding in the clothing racks and stuff or going off and trying to get strangers to hide me, telling them my mom was evil and going to beat me to death 😶 I'm amazed she didn't honestly 😅

2024-09-04 20:46:11 +0000 UTCThe scene at the end there is definitely one of my favourite scene in Re Zero Subaru fell in love with Emilia and loves her even more after helping him over and over during his loops until they saved Felt, but of course to Emilia perspective, they only met by an accident at the Old Man Rom’s hut, and Subaru couldn’t say that he could return by death and this frustrates him even more so he lashes out and say things he didn’t mean, but then immediately regrets everything he said afterwards, and I think that felt very human and realistic

2024-09-04 19:34:19 +0000 UTCThis is the episode that I’m most apprehensive about when recommending this show to others. I remember hating it the first time around but upon every rewatch I find myself appreciating it more and more. In a genre filled with overpowered main characters that can seemingly do anything, we actually have a protagonist with significant and relatable character flaws that don’t magically disappear after being isekaied. Also just a heads up, make sure to skip the opening next episode. It contains spoilers!

2024-09-04 19:08:29 +0000 UTCPriscilla is such an interesting character. It's just so interesting to see a character written to not only genuinely believe the world revolves around her, and suits her best interests, but actually knows it's true. I'm guessing it's something similar to Felt's blessing of the wind. Elsa mentioned that she had the blessing of the wind, and hence must be "loved by the world". It says a lot about her personality, like she can't have many friends since no one would be able to relate to her way of thinking, and she comes off as spoiled, even though she is just speaking from experience, her world is so different from everyone else's. And that would explain her hostility towards others, I imagine she didn't have a lot of good experiences with people, so she has become apathetic towards others. Or maybe not apathetic, but just more self-interested since everyone else didn't allow her to take interest in them (rejected her). Al being the only one who she seems to consider something like a friend, although she wouldn't admit that... I get that kind of feeling.

2024-09-04 19:06:22 +0000 UTCRemember when you said subaru have good social skills? Welp shit... At this point of the story he is a just a neet who don't really think before he act or talk, he don't really forsee the concequences of his actions. Lot of people don't like this episode but imo, it just humanize the character of subaru. I think it's not an exageration to say that almost everyone (if they were put at subaru place) will mess up at one point because of the constant stress subaru is under since the beginning of the show.

2024-09-04 19:00:35 +0000 UTCThis was to me by far the most painfull episode, there are some that are more gruesome or more impactfull, but this one takes the cake for just how much second hand embarrassment he dishes out
