I genuinely want to say more things like I did in the first season, but I feel like the more I think about it, it’s more and more of a spoiler if I mention it. The easiest thing that I can say that isn’t a spoiler is that, Thorfinn is still our boy, but this is where his character arc shifts and he gets huge development, and I love the whole season because of seeing how much he grows and continues to grow as a changed person.

I just think back to s1 when Askeladd and his band visited his relative where Thorfinn met and spoke to one of the enslaved girls there. He claimed he would never allow himself to be enslaved and would do everything to escape. And look at him now!

2024-10-24 17:30:43 +0000 UTCThe Girl and her family aren't slaves but more like the retainers,(young master was more a general title) and it's not that much different nowadays If your poor and your kid is dating the rich kid at school. Olmar is going to inherit wealth and land, is good looking(enough at least) and isn't too bad of a personality(he's an angsty teenager) basically a good catch for the time.
