Imagine being the other lab members, being used to that, and then all of a sudden Okarin picks up a phone call and turns into basically a different person. Scary.

Wes mentioned immortality in this and the previous reaction in regards to the time leap machine, and this ties directly to Heidegger's philosophy; the time leap machine is removing what makes us humans, and there's more to say on this later on. 2. In this episode, Kurisu talked about "cause and effect" and "fatalism," and the Free Will vs Determinism debate has been discussed in philosophy and has history in physics (Albert Einstein was known to be a determinist). Can we save Mayuri or is she fated to always die at a given time? 3. Rewatch value is good for this show and it's interesting to see all the little details that you missed. For example, when Suzuha first met Okabe, we learned that she has never seen corn, and with this being a time traveling show, something should have clicked with most people. Also, it's very telling to know that a simple commodity such as corn is rare or non-existent since, for example, this could imply that the world in the future has been devasted to the point where agriculture is impossible. *In any case, it's preferable to not rewatch episodes until you finished the show. 4. On a side note and in real life, David Deutsch is currently a physicist at the University of Oxford, and is a supporter of the MWI. He believes that we'll be able to someday detect differences in our "worlds" in a similar vein to the Divergence meter with the help of a quantum computer, but the MWI remains controversial within the physics community. 5. This show will keep getting better, and there are quite a few more surprises.
