unfortunately kmedia is really notorious for this, even for anti-fans or industry enemies paying for many small outlets to repeat and publish repeats and spins of shady source information, so that there is an impression of legitimacy, but when you try to trace the source and think for yourself, you see there is a negative bias or motive behind the conversation to start with, or that the original facts have been lost or exaggerated in a game of telephone, bad translations, deep fakes, claiming an anonymous source or random twitter hater as a legitimate source or a more authoritative or representative opinion than it actually is or would be if the articles were actually fair. Min Heejin, who has been caught spreading smear campaigns before, even has said that 'all we need is a headline' so even if the articles are debunked by fans or the news outlets themselves, or the target of the negative info...or if the source is found and sued for defamation or takes the articles down, it doesn't end up making as much of an impression as the initial drama and fervor that a viral headline repeated and spread as fact does in peoples minds...the damage is already done on the reputation of the subjects at that point. so RM had a good idea to apologize but it also got used against him there, he probably honestly thought it was possible that he mistakenly didn't credit a source or accidentally was too influenced by something else...that is actually easy to do in art but usually there is enough respect for the medium to understand the heart or intention of the artists, but the fact he apologized at all is taken as admission of guilt by people who don't really pay attention to the actual facts, or by reactionary haters or drama-seekers and headline readers, and article writers who want the clicks, and the people who want to see successful or popular or positive people crash or be proven to be liars or have a scandal, and the people who want the attention or drama for smearing them, and the people who are easily swayed and vulnerable to the whims of commenters on the internet, will then accept into their own view of the guys whatever negative things are being spread...because people don't want to be naive or don't want to be fools sometimes they jump way too quickly toward believing any negative thing...or people want to believe the negative thing because they think it is amusing or they are bitter or angry or jealous or already biased. it is true that people can also have fan goggles and give too much benefit of the doubt too, but that doesn't mean we should all jump to believing any and all negativity about them without examining sources, motives, facts, and trusting our own gut and impressions of years of behavior from the guys before trusting some shady websites or translations or anonymous or bias 'sources' just because it is published a lot or spread as 'fact' by what can seem like a lot of people...especially knowing how people want to see the downfall and drama of celebrities or seemingly kind or positive figures not being who they claim to be...when people get so famous, there are always those who want clout from bringing them down, want to break the 'scandal', want to mess with the fanbase or them for engagement or a reaction, or want to believe every negative thing either bc they are distrustful, jaded, or looking for drama and a story or the power trip of claiming to have seen right through them/'entertainment' of the downward spiral story, a money motivation, or because they just like the attention and chaos.

The other difficult thing about the plagiarism thing is bts have so many enemies in their industry, fan enemies and industry enemies and media enemies or just people who want to see them crash or want the clicks and the dramatic story...so anytime you are under a microscope like that by people who want to nitpick, there is going to be something for them to find and spin negatively, and/or you would go crazy trying to do everything perfectly to avoid their criticisms. but the more articles of obviously not fair or accurate criticisms out there, the more the people who want to believe the worst of them will absorb that 'chatter' and only take in the headlines or the number of articles and spread the negative impression, and no matter how unfair or inaccurate those articles are, people will subconsciously or consciously form an idea in their head that 'where there is smoke there is fire'. to this day you have people who really believe they plagiarized habitually or blatantly or uniquely for their industry when the accusations are about small, debatable things like clothes/concepts/hair colors or samples that were sold fairly to multiple people or used legally and honestly, but the articles spin it negatively or report on what haters are saying as if it is a common opinion of experts or the general public, and the impression gets spread that there is legitimacy to the accusation even among well-meaning fans or people.

This episode and the next one always gives a hard time on YouTube and gets blocked, which is weird cause the video is on YouTube but a reaction gets blocked...maybe because of all the documentary footage and stuff

Watch the K-drama Begin ≠ Youth, which is a k-drama inspired by that storyline..OR..OR..You can directly go to the k-drama, but still make sure to see which actor is playing which member beforehand for extra flair

So are you saying ur promoting their korean culture by promoting ur other faves? that doesn't make sense lmao. BTS are already doing that since pre-debut, promoting their own culture. Also, I've seen lots of reactors that shifted their interest from BTS to the whole kpop community. Amd started to talk and throw bts under the bus like they didn't created their channedl of off bts content. I'm telling you, most of ARMYs likes to watch a reactors who reacts to BTS only. All of the subscribers are ARMYs who are only fans of BTS and only few are multis. But even though there are multis who do not promote their other faves in a bts video. And I don't get it because how can you manage to be a fan of bts with a 7 members then be a fan with lots of other grps with lots of members as well. ofc, you cannot focus well to their music and activities that's why when it comes to defending bts, most of the times multis throw bts under the bus or compare bts with their other faves and say, those other grps are better than bts and started hate unprovoked.

Also, we all know that this is common already that lots of kpop fans are camping in a bts video or bts reaction video to promote their other fave kpop groups. Then they will expect everyone to like all other grps or probably the whole kpop community which doesn't make sense to me. They weirded out when an ARMY only likes and interested in BTS. Like do you expect a Taylor Swift fan be Drake fan as well by shoving it to them? I don't see that in western fans. Kpop fans have habit to shove their other faves in armys business esp. to those bts reactors. It's kind of annoying. A video abt bts in tiktok then comment section will insert their other kpop faves and compared them, like?

Not a hate to ur other faves but u are saying, ur an army but promoting other grps in a bts video? Also, why don't u help in promoting bts more since they are coming back and will be complete this year specifically in June 21, 2025. We, ARMYs, are thinking of a way we can to promote bts more to wider audience because they need it! And reasons like "but, they are already big" isn't valid because they are still underrated in some sense and lots of people don't know them yet and some countries they haven't touched yet.

(Long comment incoming…sorry!) The apology he released for plagiarism was due to a line in a feature he did on Primary’s “U”. It involves a particular line that people noticed was the same as a lyric in another artists song. The line was a quote from a poem, which had also been quoted in the other artists song. So it wasn’t even an original lyric by the other artist!! He released an apology anyway explaining that he reads books, poetry, watches movies etc and takes inspiration from them. He said that he writes things in his notes and comes back to them when working on music, but that he would be careful with that from now on. Due to him apologising on this occasion, people believed that they could claim plagiarism for EVERYTHING namjoon wrote, even if the claimed ‘original’ was in no way similar to namjoon’s lyrics. Their thought was that if he had already apologised for ‘plagiarism’ once, it makes future claims more believable so they could get away with it. Ultimately, a lot of it comes down to people being unhappy that bts were/are succeeding more than themselves or their favourite artists, and they want some huge scandal to stop their careers. Just another reason bts always show their utmost thanks an appreciation for army, as we don’t allow that to happen.
