2025-03-18 04:29:04 +0000 UTCThe reason things get so intense during the fight with Jinwoo and the team leader guy is covered up by the complete mistranslation of what the team leader guy says in the beginning. He doesn't say "let's see what kind of guy you are" which feels very "Let's test you to see your powers" but he says "let's see your monster/demon face" (I think I heard him say "to let go of" as well so it might be more appropriate to say "take off your mask and show your monster face") which reads to me like "I see you for what you are. You're lying to everyone and I'm going to draw you out and see what a beast you really are"

2025-03-12 22:55:21 +0000 UTCI'm sure he took some inspiration from HxH, and some core elements are similar, but it's its own thing with its own approach and pacing, so I wouldn't even compare them. Saying that HxH did it better when that single arc is longer than all of Solo Leveling also isn't really fair. I love HxH, but Solo Leveling's arc has been really good so far too.

2025-03-12 22:26:15 +0000 UTCYou can't tell me the author hasn't watched HxH <3 Lately, everything has been going so smoothly that I almost forgot how quick and brutal deaths can be in the show, just like back in season 1. From what I've heard, if Jinwoo and Goto had kept fighting and gotten serious about it, the system would probably have told Jinwoo to kill him because he would be seen as a threat. Also, a lot of people are saying the ant killed the healer first. Was the ant really that smart, or was the healer just the weaker and easier target compared to the combat hunters with her? Or was it just pure coincidence? I guess we'll see next week.

2025-03-12 22:11:33 +0000 UTCJust keep in mind, the ant didn’t go for the injured tank, it went straight for the healer. That is scary because that shows intelligent. Just for more info, it isn’t spoilers because they won’t show it anyway (it isn’t in manhwa nor LN but only in game) , but the healer that just died had a sad back story, she has a younger sister and the sister has eternal sleep sickness similar to jinwoo’s mom, and the healer promise her sister to be there for her birthday after the reid before the sister goes to final stage of the sleep and we just saw her die 🙂 BTW next episode is going to be hard to watch 😁😄😅😊🙂😐🥺😣😩😫😭
