Usagi knows how to make traps and such to catch a rabbit, but she mainly wanted to get Arisu moving around and focused on something other than the people they lost for a while.

2026-02-27 02:29:03 +0000 UTCBanda Sunato = Bandersnatch Yaba Oki = Jabberwocky the dangerous beasts of the Wonderland :) I'm not surprised they teamed up, Yaba was every bit as sociopathic, he just wasn't as overt about it. He was always talking about or exerting dominance, control, and violence. We learned at the beginning of the show that Clubs games are about teamwork, so I'd say it makes sense for the King of Clubs to have a team, unlike the other categories. Diamonds is intellect, Hearts is emotions, and Spades is physicality, those are inherently more individual. And yea, the Jack of Hearts rules stated that no violence or weapons may be used for killing, so as long as you don't finish off your victim, you're all good The bunny chasing scene is such a good microcosm of the story. In season 1, we see Usagi alone with a bunny, her namesake. It's captured in her own net. She pragmatically chooses to break its neck in order for her to survive. Very direct symbolism of her hiding her suicidal ideation behind practicality. In season 2, we instead see Usagi with a bunny again, but this time Arisu is with her. The bunny is NOT in a net of "it's own" making this time, unlike the other scene, because she's not alone. And they keep trying to catch it and laughing at each other for failing, and that's the most important part, they don't get the bunny. They keep FAILING, and yet feel better than maybe ever for the simple joy of trying. Trying together, knowing it won't work, but continuing to try and enjoying every attempt anyway. That is exactly what the show wants to say about life.

Explanation down below 👇 Banda Sunato - his name is a reference to the bandersnatch Yaba Oki - his name is a reference to the Jabberwocky. Additionally he may also be a reference to a character in one of Lewis Carrolls other works "the hunting of the snark". In the hunting party is a banker, who has an encounter with a bandersnatch and tries to bribe it. I don't know if Yaba Oki is a banker, but he his suit feels to fancy and out of place for it to be a coincidence. So my head canon is that he is a banker who has an encounter with Banda Sunato -the Bandersnatch- and them teaming up is a reference to the bribe.
