2025-04-12 22:06:45 +0000 UTCI don't know why people here are so inclined to this do called chronological watch order, the original Steins Gate is more or less a self-contained story, Steins Gate 0 is basically 5bp(the developers of Steins Gate) attempting to adapt many side contents of Steins Gate written by different authors into a comprehensive new title, and some of the plots would expect the audience to have some acknowledgement of the OG story and endings. But the decision is yours to make and I don't think watching order makes that much of a difference in the end, though I would recommend you check out the alternative endings in the original visual novel Steins Gate if you do enjoy the other Steins Gate contents by the end

Watching this way will give you the most satisfying ending feeling when experiencing the movie. If you want to challenge yourself, chain the events together, just simply watch by year of release.

This is the chronological way of watching the show. And it gives a way more satisfying ending to it. steins-gate 0 gives depth to a lot of characters. especially okarin and mayuri.

2025-03-26 23:29:18 +0000 UTCNot sure if you decided to continue with Steins;Gate after this season but here again is the released order (unofficial, recommended watch order): 1. Steins;Gate (1st season, what you're currently watching) 2. OVA - Egoistic Poriomania 3. Movie - Load Region of Deja Vu 4. OVA 23B - Open the Missing Link (intro to Steins;Gate 0) 5. Steins;Gate 0 (2nd season) As far as I know, 2, 3, and 4 are not streaming anywhere and you may have to do a little bit of work to find those. As someone here already suggested, I recommend the following order: 1 -> 4 -> 5 -> 2 -> 3 Ben and Anna from their AutoSave reaction channel saved the movie for last (but #2 essentially goes with the movie). The movie closes the story and provides a little bit of emotional closure between some of the characters.

2025-03-26 22:29:12 +0000 UTCI’d also recommend watching Steins;Gate 0 (sequel? prequel? spinoff? honestly I’m not even sure what to call it 😂). For me, it really helps tie up some loose ends — there’s a lot that doesn’t fully click until you see how they explain it there. It gives more depth to characters we already know (some of them take on way more active roles), and it also introduces one of my favorite characters, who’s connected to Kurisu. And yeah, people have mixed feelings about how SG;0 is developed — some even straight up hated it. But honestly? I think it wraps up super well, especially those last few episodes, and fits together with the first season like a puzzle. Totally worth watching. And I also love the opening song

Steins;Gate 0 production was horrible, so horrible, they had to stop after episode 17 and then the last episodes are decent but everything before is frankly garbage

People are going to be recommending watching Steins;Gate 0, and it is an emotionally-driven story (a side character is phenomenal in that season), so I also recommend watching it. It's also somewhat important to the overall story that is being told in the SciAdv series. There's also the movie which concludes the Steins;Gate story, and based on your reactions to this episode, then I also recommend the movie. There's no need to watch the outro for 23. And FYI, Steins;Gate is being rebooted with a new game and updated original story, and I wouldn't be surprised if they did a remake of the anime as well.

2025-03-26 19:38:04 +0000 UTCNow there are two ways that people complete the ANIME series and this obviously doesn’t matter if you’re not watching S;G 0. First way (what i recommend tbh): Just finish the last two episodes ->finish S;G 0 -> Ep 25 (egotistical poriomania) -> S;G movie. Second way (it’ll will tie into the second season smoothly): Don’t watch the original episode 23 but instead the alternate ep 23 called (OVA Steins;Gate Divide by Zero) -> Steins;Gate 0 -> then come back to original S;G ep 23/24 -> ep 25 (OVA) -> movie I like the first Vers overall, but second vers on a rewatch

Most react channels skip it because it's not as popular as Steins;Gate, but I personally find it amazing and it makes Steins;Gate better because we spend double the time on world building.
