Code Geass has a lot of different characters and one of the first to have diverse sexualities and have personalities clash, you are misinforming people yourself from voting Code Geass

There a lot of anime i do like but anime often fall repeative........ Ask your self........ how many anime up there are mecha? School romcom? Shonen? isekai? You can easily point similarities between 86 and Code Geass but you can't do that with appachary diaries. There a bunch especially Code Gease fans trying misform people from voting appachary diaries.

2025-03-28 22:34:19 +0000 UTCThe Fate/Zero light novels take place first chronologically but they were made as a prequel to the Fate/Stay Night visual novel which already existed before hand, so it's kinda like the original trilogy versus the prequel trilogy in Star Wars. Watching either first will spoil aspects of the other and either order can be considered a good one. When ufotable adapted fate they started with Fate/Zero and then followed with Unlimited Blade Works, so when it comes to the anime, it may flow better in the chronological order as that's the order they produced them, which is something to consider also.

2025-03-28 19:35:37 +0000 UTCdef peak story esp ending but just like too fanservicey for me to be able to properly enjoy the plot yk? like easily an all time favorite from when i was 14-17 not noticing that stuff but rewatching as an adult it's just sm harder to get through. ig apothecary diaries is similar in that way at least as far as character designs go but there the sexual themes are always like relevant and connecting back to how it all harms these women where in CG it's always through like weird pervy camera angles during regular moments or random jokes that completely kill the momentum. i honestly think it would be a very frustrating watch for them at least until further into s2 where action rly starts taking over

All the people bashing me for saying AD is not good reaction content (and probably voted for it) are not even monetarily supporting the channel. I guess if they put AD on YT it would get them views due to recency bias. So it could support them, but having something with plot, mystery, and controversy is much better for content.

2025-03-28 17:37:47 +0000 UTCI've still never seen the Deen adaption to be honest. Seen UBW and Heavens Feel, but Deen/Stay Night isn't on Crunchy Roll and that's the only streaming service I usually use. Maybe I'll check it out one day, even if Saber's route interests me less than the other two.

People say it's bad, and I don't know if it's because It's made by a hentai animations studio, or because it's not a good adaptation, but what I do know is I started with Deen/Stay Night and Fate still became one of my favorite series. The thing about it potentially not being a faithful adaptation, is that newcomers don't know what it's actually supposed to be, so it doesn't bother them. It can be good as its own thing. That being said, I genuinely don't know why people don't like it. It'd be pretty shallow if it was just because of the animation, which isn't even that bad for its time. Aren't people just comparing it with Ufotable too much?

2025-03-28 16:47:30 +0000 UTCCan't say I have any idea who Letts React is. I pretty much only watch three or four reaction channels and that's definitely not one of them. And the fan service in the other anime I've seen them react to shows a lot less than Code Geass does. Also considering Kallen's age, not everyone is fine with seeing that, so it's still not one I'd typically recommend, even to an adult. If they're fine with the content, I'd be happy to see them react to it, even if I'd prefer some of the other anime on the list. As it is now, Hunter x Hunter is the only thing they're reacting to that I'm watching, so any content that I'd be interested in would be a welcome change.

You might be confusing them with Letts React (another group which is scared of seeing fanservice). W&S are not like them, they are adults

I'm not sure if any of the series they've reacted to had fan service to the extent that Code Geass has at times. If I remember correctly, Kallen was shown fully topless twice. As much of a fan of the series I am, it's not one I recommend to anyone unless I know how comfortable they are with things like that.

2025-03-28 14:25:01 +0000 UTCI don’t know if you’ve seen Invincible, but it’s not really comparable to any anime they’ve watched. Even in those anime, at least Steph can barely watch certain scenes. Also, I literally said that the whole point of a sad show is to make someone feel sad, upset, and even tear up. If it manages to deliver those emotions effectively, then it’s a success - that’s the goal. It’s not a bad thing. If someone doesn’t like those kinds of shows, that’s fine, but the purpose of a sad show is, indeed, to make you feel sad. My point is, I can’t tell you if they genuinely dislike sad content, but you can’t take the Dandadan episode (for example), which is designed to make you tear up, and say, "Look, they clearly don’t like that; they felt sad watching it," when that’s the exact goal of the episode. Almost all great shows have very sad scenes, episodes, or arcs - it’s one aspect of good immersion.

If it was that close I'd probably try to maneuver it so that it ends in a perfect tie. Otherwise it would just depend on how I was feeling in the moment, it's that close.

That's literally the amazing part about such "sad shows" - they're so good and immersive that you truly connect with the story and experience emotions you normally wouldn’t. I agree it can be a bit of a downer in the moment, but afterwards, I'm always glad I watched it and can even appreciate how good it was. Didn't Steph literally say, "What are you guys having us watch!?" at the end of the first Attack on Titan episode? And now, it's probably one of her favorite shows. Even though I like Invincible a lot, I’d argue they'd have a much bigger problem with a show like that because of all the explicit brutality and gore.

The reason I like watching W/S is because they are not purely 'reactionary' on the surface level, saying "ooh wow look at that" with nothing more, but actually add commentary. Conversely, they almost always have something meaningful to add to the watching experience. On that note, Apothecary Diaries is an interesting show set in an interesting time period about a couple of interesting people. Even if nothing 'crazy' happens, I will enjoy the interesting things Wes and Steph talk about.

There has been an extremely close race between the top dog of polls ever since W&S did anime polls, Code Geass, and the relatively new show Apothecary Diaries, with only 1️⃣3️⃣ votes separating them from becoming the victor. similar margins in last polls too. Once again, we will find out if Recency Bias will help the newer show with usually better animation win or if the dedication of the old fans to rewatching a childhood classic will prove to be stronger. I wish the old and new shows weren't up against each other, but it is what it is. We will see if the other shows, the underdogs, will bounce back on Day 2. Invincible has started with a massive tally despite, I believe, its first appearance.

For me, SoL is when most of the story focuses on just living life. Also, Solo Leveling isn’t really my thing—I tend to prefer series with more drama, like Death Note or Made in Abyss, or Tanya the Evil , something that keeps me on edge, rather than ones that feel more focused on life and the ordinary, this is a reaction page after all.

Especially because most people going into Fate/zero have already seen Fate Stay night or played the VN’s so context is already in their brains when you see certain things.

2025-03-27 18:39:42 +0000 UTCI think my comment will probably prove you right lol, but I'll still share what I think about it: the real problem for me is that it's not really possible to truly understand most of the story in the adaptations around Fate/stay night and even Fate/zero. The order is messed up in the adaptations and 80% of the lore is gone (it's a very lore intensive franchise). So you mostly enjoy seeing characters fighting beautifully and that's it. Just the meme "which season to start from ?" shows how much of a mess the animes are, because there's no good order, unless you play the VNs. That's why I don't really enjoy seeing people reactions the fate series, despite being a big fan. We can't make a 100 lines pamphlet explaining what is going on each episodes, it would be too boring to read for them and I think they have other things to do. So you can just enjoy them watching the beautiful battles not really getting the rest.

She's smart and knowledgeable, and kind of quirky in a way I find adorable, instead of annoying. Also there is the romance that's slowly cooking.
