His situation reminds me of Levi, who took responsibility for Eren when he first got his Titan powers in the earlier seasons and was also prepared to kill him if he got out of control. I actually believe both of them would be able to do it if necessary.

For example, once I was playing Battlefield 5 with headphones on and heard explosions. I thought that artillery had been called in on me and started to dodge... but nothing happened... when I took off my headphones, the sounds of explosions did not disappear π
