Modern - Labour in government, tories as the official opposition, liberal democrats (not the liberals) are third largest, green party, reform, scottish nationalist party etc all considered important political parties.

They didn't show Arthur's body, even though they did so for John, which was strange. That was the biggest clue for me that Arthur was alive. Then Tommy not letting the mother get closer to the funeral so she wouldn't see through the ruse was another clue. On the meta side two major character deaths in one season seemed a bit too much.
