I have those sleep issues you guys are talking about and I think having a dog now has been a good in between for me where I have some tolerance for screwing that up because the dog can wait a little bit if he has to but knowing I have to be up and have to get this guy out to the bathroom. I like to think it is priming me for the even earlier and more necessary interaction of children. It's honestly really hard when you don't have the sleep schedule everyone else does, though.
