Schedule for the Week of 04/29/2024
Added 2024-04-29 18:53:07 +0000 UTCWe’re back! We’ll, Brad and I are back, but Alex is still on vacation. How did it go, you ask? Great! I got a bunch of stuff done that I had been putting off. I packed and moved the three bookshelves I’d been eyeballing out of my basement and into my garage which [Vinny leans over to look] resulted in about 25 boxes of books… I still have another shelf to do but I don’t think that one is actually going to fit in the garage. My wife is a lifelong journal keeper, so about a quarter of those books are a portion of her journal horde that was stored down here. She always goes back and forth on tossing/burning them versus keeping them. To be fair though, she is willing to haul and move them when the time comes, so no complaints from me.
You can, most likely, hear all about that and more during the Ramblecast this week! On Monday, I’ll be doing some Cyberpunk sidequesting as we continue to make our way through the Phantom Liberty DLC. On Thursday, Brad and I are heading back into the wastelands to re-discover Fallout 76. Then on Friday we’ll have a Patron’s Choice, so look for a poll going up a little later this week. We’re figuring out some of the choices based on guest availability, but I have my fingers crossed for a Content Warning crew! Like I mentioned above, we’ll have the Ramblecast, Podcast, and also The Watchcast which returns to the land of Twin Peaks with Fire Walk with Me! There are actually two episodes (the actual movie and a bonus episode for some of the deleted scenes) so be on the lookout for both. Alex is technically off this week, so the episodes might go up on Monday or Tuesday. Thanks Alex!

2024-05-05 11:40:34 +0000 UTCHeads up on Fallout 76 if you're trying to do it in a group- a lot of the newer with-npc missions (even just silly short conversations) get instanced, and only one player gets progress! A buddy and I played a lot of it co-op over the last year and if a door says "Help Team Leader" vs Solo, that means you will be instanced and only leader gets quest progress. I doubt you'll hit many on an initial stream, but you probably want to either decide only one of you want story progress, or you will want to split up and have non leader go solo. We traded off leader and would speed run round two, but the differences/choices were pretty small throughout.
