Exactly. Iberon seemed to be the only one who rightfully gave a damn about Ranach and his tries to weasel himself to his goals and suddenly, right after Ranach manipulated Lykenia to send his fellow tribe members to their possible deaths (which we know he disapproves of) he suddenly develops feelings for him!? Like what!? I kind of expected it to go this way but hoped it wouldn't. I can't believe it. This seems sooo out of character.
He's a cool villain but the amount of characters that seemingly fall for his manipulations out of nowhere start to annoy me

I personally dont think he changed at all, he just wasn't in a position of power. Unlike before no one took shit from him so he wasn't in the best position. Ranach is selfish and cares only about what Ranach himself needs. He never loved Rogio too, just the way Rogio made *him* feel. With this page it's clearly hinted that one day Iberon *will* know what he did.

He's been giving sneaky looks after he talks to the Southspear leader. He's plotting. I don't think any part of him has fundamentally changed. He mostly seemed to care about Rogio because he missed him, which is incredibly selfish.

I completely agree with you! Don’t get me wrong, Ranach is a great character/villain, but that’s just it: he’s a *villain.* He doesn’t deserve a redemption arc unless he truly does change for the better and genuinely makes an effort to be a better person. But that would require him actually owning up to all of the horrible things he’s done, and we all know he can’t do that; he’s always the victim, everything is always about *him* and to hell with everyone else, even the so-called “care” and “love” that he every once in a while shows toward others is only for his own benefit. I thought Iberon understood this, but it looks like he too is now caught in Ranach’s web, which really disgusts me to see. Ranach is a master manipulator, and it seems this “skill” not only works on the characters in the comic, but some of the readers too, if they truly think he’s changed. XD

oh man… ALL I keep thinking about while watching this unfold, is the unholy rage (and betrayal maybe?) that Iberon will undoubtedly feel when he finds out about what Ranach did to Rogio. Ranach is hiding the fact that Iberon didn’t kill Rogio, it was actually him (so he still thinks).. this all hurts me so much lmao.

Iberon: -proceeds to kiss Ranach-

I am livid. Once again ranach gets everything he wants and everything goes his way. I hate him so much. I had hope in iberon but there goes that, out of the window. And if there is a "redemption" arc for ranach? I actually will flip. He has done nothing but manipulate yet again, to a position where he is benefitting. Sending innocents to their deaths likely. Starting a full out war. And now he even gets iberon? Yeah everything is working out for him. Some comments say he changed. I don't see ANY change in him.

Iberon no, not you too! The right choice would have been to reject him, slap him, bite him, idk, he stepped out of the lines and you did t agree, so why now :( hope they won't do buddy-buddy and be suddenly all friends in the better world. Iberon was almost the only one to see shit in Ranach. Hope tables will turn and that Ranach will get what he deserves

I like seeing Iberón take a step to be good to himself, but that it has to be Ranach? Oh boy... still, interesting to see where the story takes it. Ranach sure is an amazing character to follow because of who he is. You never know what twist he'll turn for his own benefits lol

Glad I’m not the only one, I actually like Ranach a lot. His character has developed quite a bit since we first got introduced to him… I’m excited to see what happens in the next few pages especially with trying to gain others who feel the same about the capital. And I bet it’ll be a good amount.
Lol this page I’ve been rooting for Ranach awhile. *dancing* lol

I am surprised he tried to say something to Iberon... But it went wrong I think.
"I don't... want you"
"Because you... remind me of someone i want"
He was saying possibly. Iberon misunderstands and thinks Ranach refers to him. Ranach goes with the flow then because it is easier maybe. So not much change in that part.

Ugh. I really hate this. This is just disgusting, knowing Ranach’s previous relationship with Rogio, Iberon’s own brother, how he abused and ultimately “killed” him (of course we know he didn’t, but as far as Ranach knows, he did), and yet is letting Iberon go on believing that *he* killed him, all those years ago. And now with *this* development… I’m sorry, but Ranach doesn’t deserve any kind of happiness after all the despicable things he’s done, I don’t care what anyone says. Yes, he was abused as a puppy, yes he had a twisted upbringing and was raised to believe and do horrible things, and was punished for everything that his cruel father perceived as “weakness”, but let me be clear: all of this only *explains* his actions, it does not *excuse* them. Not every victim of abuse grows up to be an abuser, themselves, after all; you are still responsible for your own actions, and at some point, you have to make your own choices. And we’ve seen what kind of choices Ranach has made. I keep hoping this abusive, manipulative, narcissistic prick will *finally* get what’s coming to him for every horrible thing that he’s done, and every time it looks like he actually might, it just… doesn’t happen. And now Iberon, who does genuinely seem like a good person, imo, despite his mistakes, is caught in his web. I can only hope he actually learns the truth, and sooner rather than later. I don’t want these two to have any kind of “loving” relationship, especially since we all know it’ll only hurt Iberon, in the long run. >.>

Part of me is like, yeah definitely Iberon can do better. But part of me is like....Iberon is so on the straight and narrow, that this could be a good thing for Ranach and -big maybe- change him for the better? Given that Ranach really doesn't hold any power within the tribe and Iberon does. Sort of a role reversal, and one I think is good as Iberon seems to be a better holder of power then Ranach ever was.

YIKES. every time I think Ranach can't get any lower, he looks me right in the eye, grabs a shovel, and says, "Bet."
Iberon deserves better than this douchenozzle. Even if we disregard everything Ranach has done up until this point (which all cultivated into creating the dog he is now and how he got here, but I digress), this is disturbing! He knows -- or at least highly suspects -- who Iberon's brother is. There is undoubtedly little to no doubt in his mind about the connection. He ALSO knows what he did to Rogio, and as far as he's even aware, iirc, Rogio is dead...and that Iberon has been punishing himself for his brother's perceived death at his own hands for all these years. When Ranach says, "It's not them I want," or whatever, however, we all know who he's really referring to, yet poor Iberon really thinks it's him, and that this was some kind of confession...and Ranach goes along with it! He's just trying to replace Rogio, but his method of doing so is atrocious and unforgivable, even if you looked at it in a, "forget the other disgusting stuff Ranach has done and let him start anew" way. There are just some things you cannot ignore from your past and this is one of them.
I can't imagine Iberon's reaction when (not if, but WHEN, even if it takes years...) he finds out the truth. In fact, Ranach's bullshit excuses to start a war against the capital might even be what brings Iberon and Rogio back to each other, since now the outlaws are venturing back into land that is officially owned by other Tribes...and we all know what specific Tribe that Ranach wants revenge on. He can never keep up his false innocent mask for long, but damn if he won't emotionally and/or physically abuse everyone he meets along the way while he does.
Needless to say, this doggo is truly one sick-in-the-head puppy, but that's hardly new information x)
