I truly hope they will join Jahla for the time being. Jahla could use some help and familiar faces, plus I would love to still have Rhov x Jahla interactions as friends. Even if they are no partners anymore, I think they went through so much together...it would be a shame if we never saw them together. Plus I also think Feaf and Jahla could help each other greatly, especially now considering everything. Then there is Ranach who's using the Red wolf thing, so...even more reason for more dogs to join her.

Oof with Marduk. I wonder how it all will escalate from here . That big collar Marduk used to have, what if he had it to be connected to Father or the other ones? Kinda like the collars Jahla and her brother had to be connected and feel eachother's warmth? And now he has taken it off, as either none of the other is still alive, or he has his own plans and went be be the Lone God?

tbh they ought to just pack it up and head over to Jahla's tribe temporarily since it is quite close. spend some time there with her before heading north to Ronja. Don't give him the satisfaction of a fight or of worship. Show him he is insignificant and no god at all by simply ignoring and abandoning him.

While I think all the Gods are terrible individuals, yes even Father, Marduk even though he's arrogant and has lied maybe he lost his family and Father. He could be the only one left as the green and blue gods basically killed themselves or damaged themselves beyond repair maybe more the Sky Gods than the green ones. Marduk could simply be taking his anger out on the rest cause he does have a connection with Father at least we were told this many pages ago. I do think he had a right to defend himself cause he was being attacked of course and with his body still being I guess new? He wasn't taking any chances. Cruel or not since everyone's so cruel on the island might as well get rid of the threat quickly but I don't agree that he let them suffered slowly instead of making it quick. I don't understand why Kainan was defending strange dogs he didn't know cause they could've very well tried to kill him and his family and they were attacking Marduk so it's easy for them to gun it for the others if they wanted to. He and the others even had knives to defend themselves so I would've wanted to know questions from both sides before screaming at the weird god dog. Idk, quite honestly I don't trust any of these Gods. Father left them on the island and left dogs and cats before them to fend for themselves and they've been dying from ghouls or killing each other more the latter and didn't really warn them in person to not leave that shield. Marduk is over here being suspicious and mad, the other Sky Gods seemed to have abandoned both Marduk and Asmundr pack, etc. Goodness, I would have been through with my so-called "Gods". They're all the same, powerful but never have your interest at heart in the end. The spirits seem more benevolent than everyone on the island and the sky. XD

Another thought: maybe he means the one god who chose or voted to stay? Maybe the others decided its a lost cause or wanted to abandon the dogs or perhaps not help them at all anymore? And marduk was the only one to go against the rest and not want to do that? Who knows....could go either way. He may have valid reasons for acting the way he did.

Him saying *one god* makes it seem to me almost as if he is implying he is the only god left...and ofc that he is the only one that deserves their praise and to be bowed to and obeyed without question. --- Marduk gives me creepy stalker vibes tbh. He seems to have this dream or delusion that he deserves to be worshiped and craves that specifically from the asmundr pack who he seems to know so much about, like he is obsessed with them. And he seems to have no empathy, not truly, because he was willing to watch those dogs die a horrible, rather slow, painful death, and seemed almost non chalant about it, since when Kanian asked him what was happening, he seemed like it was such a minor thing, he seemed so enraged and non understanding that kanian cared about dogs he didn't even know. Thats a telltale sign of psychopathy. His empathy is strictly performative. --- Going down that road of thought, when someone like that gets rejected their real face shows. As it seems to have here. His vain sense of self showed right away when he was questioned, no matter how illogical any other outcome would be. If he realises that these dogs he yearned to have worship him never will, i fear he will snap, just as kanian assumes here, and all that desire will turn into rage and hatred and the want to punish them, he will see them as the villains. --- The only way i could see him redeem himself if through compkete transparency, who he is, why he is here, where the other sky gods are, who those dogs and zioqa were, and all he knows about this world. That would show he trusts them. Then, and *only* then can they begin to trust him, and a genuine companionship, maybe even friendship can develope. --- I look forward to seeing which way it shall go, i just hope we don't lose anyone from asmundr, let alone rhov or feaf (and their hinted at unborn child).

For a god, I don’t like how forcefully involved Marduk is trying to be in their lives. Father watched from a distance, getting personally involved very little (as a god should) - Marduk seems to be trying to control them and what they do for his own sake, like they’re his house pets, and it’s very strange! These are wild dogs who know how to take care of themselves, they don’t need him there potentially dictating what they can and can’t do

There’s an ominous cloud blocking the stars. That don’t bode well. I do hope they leave to join Ronja soon.
