This also suggest the crest is somehow cognizant to be able to detect what "good" would be. Hopefully we get to delve into it more in the future to clear that up a bit.

2025-02-11 16:48:17 +0000 UTCmaybe some akis grew a crest. It was shown and said that the Akis were sad and depressed because they are currently held on that small island. In this small space they cannot thrive. Thakir pointed that out to Rohgir and he got swiftly banished for stepping up along with Jahla. Jahla later mentioned that Rohgir might be jealous of Thakir for having a crest and he himself does not. So since we didn't see anything of that island anymore and just got a little hint from Argeirr it could be that more Akis grew that thing because they are mentally ill. Depressed and traumatised individuals suffer a lot of stress giving the red eye thing a chance to emerge and so more Akis grew a crest. For Argeirr not mention that could be because of his child-like habit. Children often don't see that much of a difference between people, they just go along with it. If someone has another skin color he has another skin color. For a child there is nothing wrong with it. It goes so far that even if someone is missing a leg children don't care. They might ask why someone is missing a leg or has another skin color but thats it. Seeing these differences and discrimination comes from other influences. So Argeirr just saw... well Akis being Akis. He may not see any difference between him and them. Crest or not. Rohgir however did...
