State of the Fund Drive: One Week Left

This week's fund drive has been much the same as last week: steady but slow-ish progress, taking us to the cusp of $9,000 and our next bonus content. That's pleasing, but is it good enough?
This year's fund drive ends on 17th October (at 23.59 PST, to be precise). That means there are eight donating days left. They're normally eight of the busiest days of the fund drive. What this graph shows is what that actually means, in dollars.
From left to right, you'll find the final-week take for the last five years (in grey), the average of those years (in purple), and then a spread of potential final weeks for this year. We're right on track to reach our 2017 funding goal of $15,000: we just need to do our average final week. We're within striking distance of our Spanish SF special: we'd have to equal our best final week. But the full Samovar and sub-Q goals are looking like, well, a stretch.
So if you want to see more translations and interactive fiction in SH -- at least in the near future -- this week is the time to tell a friend about the magazine, to talk about why you read us, to share the details of the fund drive. We have some final-week plans that we hope might give us a boost. But, to coin a phrase, this is a situation where every little really does help.
