Sometimes this show has us watching really interesting movies that are forgotten or underconsidered because of their association with King and horror. It's a classic tale of the genre gutter, you know, and the idea that just because something has a ghoulie in it then it must be lesser than a film about a college professor. Other times we watch just straight up terrible movies where John Cusack talks to people about his graphic novel lore. You'll have to listen to the episode to learn which kind of movie 2016's Cell is!

Also just paused the podcast to say the sequel to Michael on Michael should be Michael on Michaels, a la Alien.

2025-02-13 07:47:06 +0000 UTCWhile zooted on painkillers, racked with pain after dental surgery, Cell was the movie I chose to watch. The Trololo knocked me on my ass. It didn't help when I saw Pacific Rim 2 with some friends later that year and saw Trololo appear on film, again.
