Moulinette Cloud for everyone
Added 2021-07-30 00:14:12 +0000 UTCWith the new infrastructure, I have now new opportunities and I'm considering the possibility of extending Moulinette Cloud for any supporter. This would offer the possibility to bring your own assets and benefit from Moulinette capabilities (WEBP conversion, thumbnails, scenes previews, search). This would be helpful for hosting assets of creators that are not available on Moulinette Cloud without the need to setup and manage a S3 storage nor manage them locally.
I would like to survey you on your interest in such a service and the willingness to pay for it. It would start with my 5$ tier for about 5GB.

The biggest thing for me is to be able to create prefabs, and complex scene's locally and have moulinette be able to index those. Having prefabs only on cloud right now limits moulinette a little bit.

The fee for accessing creators' assets on Moulinette Cloud will remain minimal (to cover bandwidth costs). This would rather be optional for people willing to use cloud capabilities to host their own assets.

2021-07-30 13:51:22 +0000 UTCWhile I can see the usefulness of this, I personally have no interest as I've got an s3 server and really don't feel it's all that difficult to maintain. That said, if others can benefit from it that's great, I just hope this isn't a mandatory fee for those of us that don't need it
