Tonight’s episode is a bit of a mystery. It has Rusty during the first movie and Reno in the 2nd. i asked JB why that was, and he said “Never happened. The tape must be mislabeled.”
So, I looked it up online, and this is exactly how it aired that night. i updated him with that info, and he still said “Impossible! Reno was never on Last Call!” Yet…here we are. With actual evidence of her being on Last Call. 🤔
I’m guessing this was done in the transitional period when Reno quit and Rusty came in, and someone just spliced the eps together thinking no one would notice. And I reckon no one did…Till now! 🥰 There’s also some hot blackboard action for ya in the 2nd movie, which I think must hsve been a precursor to his Summer School eps.
Enjoy this wee bit of historical weirdness, and if you have another theory (or any actual knowledge!) of how this Mail Girl Mixup could’ve happened I’d love to hear it!

2023-02-12 06:24:45 +0000 UTCThought maybe it was the original Philadelphia Experiment II showing from 9/6/97 but it absolutely is not. It is exactly as it appears, two different mail girls on the same night. His outfit doesn't change between the movies, and he makes mention of the upcoming Summer School series which precludes the possibility that the episode was a reairing of the 9/6/97 show. That said, you can go back five weeks to 5/23/98 for the airing of Godzilla/Godzilla vs. Mothra and find Reno in the Godzilla episode, and then Rusty in the Godzilla vs. Mothra Last Call complete with bumpers that feature Reno. Go back two more weeks to 5/9/98 and you'll see Reno in the Genesis II episode, but move forward one week to 5/16/98 and it's Rusty during Warlock: The Armageddon. I would assume that they recorded a complete episode (two movies) per shooting session, but obviously I don't know that, so if they were shooting a single movie per session, and the sessions were on different days, you could theorize that Rusty was filling in when Reno was unavailable and eventually they decided to transition completely to Rusty who was able to make all the recording sessions without issue. Also, I have quite a life going but now I've gotta go 'cause my wife, Morgan Fairchild, is calling me.
