2019-08-09 23:35:51 +0000 UTCI've definitely "participated" in it by mocking it. On a number of occasions. So yeah, when you think of it that way, that was poorly worded on my part. I was referring to the action of taking a side and arguing against the other. For nearly 20 years I heard it pronounced both ways, and we all (or at least everyone I encountered) understood each other. I had no idea there even *was* an argument until the internet decided there was a few years ago.

But I've never participated in what has to be the *dumbest* fucking internet argument of all time, because I understand what people are saying regardless of how they pronounce it, and I can't bring myself to care about the pronunciation of a goddamn acronym.

If getting your child's birth certificate without a male guardian is the change, it's a good change, but it ain't fucking progress.
