Note for Anna and Eli: Bali is great if you can avoid the really touristy areas, but otherwise the waves of bogans coming up from Australia can make it unbearable at times. For something similar but less crowded, you might consider Lombok and/or the Gili Islands. Borobudur is also worth a stop as long as you're in the neighborhood.
