I hope this week you’ll touch on the mass grave that was discovered at a church-run school in Canada. Kamloops Residential School, one of eighty of its kind up there, modelled after a similar (larger) program in the United States intended to Christianize and assimilate them. 215 indigenous children as young as three were found buried there, and a lot of their families weren’t even informed they had died. We’re only scratching the surface but it’s guaranteed there’s a lot more where that came from on both sides of the border. What’s been done to them over the years is f-cking unconscionable. The Pope is refusing to apologize. This isn’t ancient history, there are massive ongoing problems and a persistent attitude towards native communities which lets them continue, much of it rooted in religion. This story has been quiet in the news, but you guys have a platform and I can’t think of anyone better to scream about it.

I think we all need to be reminded that he’s relevant as long as he holds so much power over a political party. And fuck you, Don Ford, voice of fantasy and adventure; Eli’s Trump voice is awesome. 😋
