Hello I have some things that may or may not be of interest to you today! Below I have some fun work and actual work-work as well as some moodboard stuff and gorgeous photos. Hope that's wonderful to you.

As you might know I spent the previous weekend visiting Leigh Ellexson and friends. There were pets present as always so I drew beautiful Todd (Jess cat) and Toadie (Leigh dog). Kind of accurate and sweet I wish I had pics for a side by side for you.

speaking of sweet and side by side! would you look at this fantastic pic below. I mean wow!

I'm looking pretty pissed off and toughguy mode and leigh is looking very smiley and upright! really something else.

I'm really trying very hard to draw myself accurately but still stylize in a way that is cute but not cutesy. Loving cutesy but not for my own self portrait at the age of 27. thanks!

I went to a live figure drawing session for the first time since college. holy moly

I am liking the digital painting I made! My gesture drawings are currently in a sketchbook that is not on my person but those were a bit uglier and I may or may not show them to you at a later date!

Working on a new picture book recently that is jam packed with stuff and it's challenging me. Feeling a little scared of it. This is a much smaller crop of a much larger page.

More of that sort of situation. What's helping me to get a handle on the busyness of this book was making a sort of moodboard of how I want the book to roughly feel:

You might notice Little Big Planet in the mix. I've been playing Sackboy a Big Adventure with Colin lately. Here's some sackboy art I did as a warmup before work one day. It's this gorgeous robot woman I'm obsessed with and my current favorite costume/paint setup. Again, wish I had some side by sides for you but I just can't bring myself to do all that!

I'm also working on a light novel series that has some very occasional very light paneling. As you may or may not know I am not a fan of working on graphic novels but I am enjoying the level of work a light novel demands of me!

The vibe of the project is teen high school comedy drama very cute stuff.

okay that is all! I am moving from a one bedroom to a two bedroom in my same building this weekend. Did the bulk of it yesterday but there's still much to do. This new place feels like a gorgeous penthouse compared to the previous space. I'll show you more once it's all set up! Here is me 20 minutes ago in the reflection of the tv. yay.
