We Have a New Framework!

Basically, this is something that I've been discussing since before our change of direction - I've been wanting to really rework how we do things for a while, since, well... we've been stuck in a rut. To be honest, we've been using the same base styles and overall framework since 2013, with a few minor tweaks in 2016. This is the first, full-in, back to the wall rewrite that we've done since then.
And let me tell you: it's been a lot of work that I'm super proud of.
We used Elegant Themes' Divi as a basis for the overall experience, and heaped a ton of our own features for things like reviews, interviews, etc. on top.
Unfortunately, pretty much all frameworks fail to support these custom bits out of the box, so we had to build out, infrastructure and, in some cases, completely code controls from scratch - those little "Reviews" and "Interviews" modules on the front page, for example, were actually completely built in-house, and styled to mimic the baked in controls.
All in all, this took more than 100 hours of labor, from start to deployment, and we're still doing some tweaking and fiddling to make things shine their brightest.
And I'm super happy to share this with you folks! Thanks for your support with our new framework in place, we'll be capable of doing some really awesome stuff, as we reach for that "magazine style" vibe we were mentioning in the last update. Wish us luck!
