Added 2018-06-07 03:19:05 +0000 UTCAbout a week ago, we put out a survey asking the readers what they wanted to see from an all-new Anime Herald. And, by a large margin, the biggest winner was "magazine style", with a greater emphasis on long-reads and features, and far less of the daily news feed.
Today, we went live with what I hope is the first of many features of this nature. Over the weekend, we caught wind of an ongoing saga where the creator of [New Life +] Young Again in Another World was found out to have a fairly... offensive public history. While we were unable to catch this as the story unfolded (I was rolling out the new layout), we did keep an eye on things, and logged our details.
Over the past day, we put this article together - going as far as to translate the author's tweets and the cancellation notices from each outlet. Though we weren't first to the scene, we were able to leverage our talents to bring a piece that was comprehensive and informative, while still being a compelling read.
This is what I'd like to do more of with Anime Herald... and I look forward to sharing our biggest and brightest pieces with you as we go forward.
