6/8/23 - Cats & Coke

Hello all. Today I decided to show a little bit of my softer side.

In my first video of the day, I explained a trick I'm actively performing on a friend in which I ask them to cat sit for me. 

I don't have a cat. But they don't know that. I'm going to leave the window ajar with a cat-sized gap and wait to see how long it takes for them to discover the cat likely jumped out the window and break the news to me.

This particular friend has a bit of an avoidant personality and I've always suspected they secretly didn't care about me. So it will be interesting to measure quantitatively how little they care. I'll be gone Friday through Monday, so I will update as the story develops.

This is one of the first times in a while I've made a video that takes place in the present and future tense. I.e., I'm currently doing this thing, stay tuned for part 2.

Multi-part series are a fantastic way to get new followers. My algorithm purgatory sentence continues unabated, so I doubt I'll get a considerable amount of new followers from this video alone. 

One of my first ever videos in 2021 was "ROTISSERIE CHICKEN SKELETON." This was the first time I ever crossed 1 MILLION views. In the video, I explained I was going to create a skeleton entirely out of rotisserie chicken bones. I went as far as to clean and polish all the bones in the entire rotisserie chicken, but I stopped short of actually assembling it. I ended on a cliffhanger-- "Follow for Part 2." Shameless, but effective.

To this day, I've never made PART 2, nor did I even attempt to put the skeleton together. Mostly because I realized it wouldn't be possible-- and I didn't feel like doing it if it was.

I just waited long enough and eventually everybody forgot. Since then I've made a handful of "PART 1" videos with no intention of making a Part 2, because I think that's funny.

Anyway, the second video I made today was about switching my girlfriend's diet coke with regular coke to fix her body dysmorphia. It ended on a subtle cliffhange-- "I can't wait to tell her."

I usually don't plan videos further out in advance than 1 day. That being said, if there are any compelling developments in either storyline, I will follow up.
