Check out https://ocean.si.edu/ocean-life/sharks-rays/biomimicry-shark-denticles Apparently, the "sequins" in the fabric do something similar, hence the name and the 'zzz-zzz' sound in one direction but not the other. However it's done, it's amazing.

I appreciated you described the look and feel and was wondering why it made that 'zzzz-zzz' sound when rubbing horizontally and not when rubbing vertically. Again I see this used as a superhero outfit - ideal because it 'light absorbing properties' lol. I also saw your blue light from below reflected - did not expect to see such effect. You present it marvelously. We are being spoiled. As for the white tights: They ARE a thing! Maybe someone will make a video of comparing white shimmery tights one day? ':)
