Weekly Worksheet: There isn't one this week. Why? Because I was only here to work Friday-Sunday, so I'll just go ahead and tell you that I did 6,994 words over the course of 14 hours.

2,300-something was a good part of that because it was a paid commission. It was my first time in a while having to write in past tense since the commissioner wanted it in past tense, and god damn I hate writing in past tense now. It wasn't that I disliked the commission; I just hate writing in past tense now. It feels so boring and robotic to me. It's kind of funny to say that since I've been writing in past tense my entire life and have only been writing in present tense for the past 6 months, but still. But yeah, I had to research the commissioner's OCs and learn about the characters and stuff, so that combined with actually writing it (in past tense, blech) took me about 6-7 hours total. Totally worth it for $100, though.

But now I've added a rule to my commissioning list that I'll only write in present tense. I hate past tense. 

The True Endgame

It's nice switching back to a primarily slice of life focus for this. It feels slow, and sometimes I worry since I know a lot of established Western writers say how everything should be fast and concise and blahblahblah, but none of that really applies to slice of life. I like slice of life to be slow and fluffy. Even so, there are always doubts in the back of my mind about whether people are going to like or dislike and blah. I just have to remember that being slow and slice of life focused is what brought people into the story in the first place, so there is nothing wrong with continuing that.

Ero Dungeon Evolution

I know! I keep saying that it's going to be out soon, and I technically have enough done that I could post it at any time now while keeping Patreon 7/14 ahead, but I just keep on rethinking things and wanting to change things and just hgrftesdhgbrfs. There aren't going to be any major changes  that would warrant uploading revised editions or anything, I think, but still. I'm going to be spending the rest of tonight and a good chunk of tomorrow going over it a few times since I set the goal for myself to finally post it publicly tomorrow.

There is one reason that is primarily behind this, and I'm going to go ahead and spoil it for you. All of my other stories ideas that I want to work on are going to take place in the same world as EDE. I have ideas right now for four other major stories happening within that world all being told from their own perspectives and happening in different parts of it. Basically, Ero Dungeon Evolution Cinematic Universe. We goin' Marvel all up in here. That is why  I keep thinking about this so much and delaying it, because the system in EDE is going to be the foundation for numerous other stories. So, I need to make sure it's a good system that people like.

Of course, if neither EDE or ??? end up being too popular, then I'll probably be better off coming up with other ideas that don't take place in the same setting. If they are popular and met with success, though, then you can be sure we'll be seeing a lot of that setting.

In Closing

I said I was going to post pictures from my visit onto Twitter, and I posted some, but I'm too lazy to post the rest since it's like a week late now.

Also, I've been playing more Monster Hunter World lately! I bought a PS4 Pro for it back at the beginning of the year and then hardly ever played it, but I've been pumping some hours into it daily for the past few days. It's the most I've played a game since I've started writing - well, outside of Terraria which I am also still in the mood to play more of.
