Good morning!

I’ve been enjoying reading the book of Joshua in the Passion Translation. There are so many deeper meanings of words from the original language that bring the text to life and make it all so more obviously practical!

Joshua led the people into many victories through Yahweh’s instruction and guidance. So many times very unlikely things happened. For example, the enemy fought themselves and God’s people didn’t have to do anything, or the people simply had to stand and praise. To me, the human mind would never choose a battle plan like that. We always feel like we need to DO in order for things to happen. I wonder how many times, if we simply listened to God, we wouldn’t have to fight against whatever is troubling us. Maybe staying still and praising God is the answer. Maybe the “battle” will be won in some unlikely way that we couldn’t fathom.

Whatever “walls” you may have erected in your mind, consider allowing God to speak to you about how to let those come down. He knows you better than you know yourself and He knows the divine way to help you. My humble opinion is that you can never go wrong with starting off with simple praise!
