Weekly Update #82

Two important things real quick:

1. There (most likely) won't be new chapters of LDQ nor TTE next week because I want to take next Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving. It's my turn to cook (which means spending about 8 hours in the kitchen on Thursday), plus I plan on entering a food coma, so I'm going to take those days off. I think that's pretty fair considering that I haven't really taken any vacation time off this year =P. Aside from that, I'll also be skipping taking a day off for my birthday so that I can feel less bad about taking Christmas week off, but that's not until next month obviously.

2. The thief who uploaded LDQ to Amazon removed it. I'm not sure if it was Amazon or he who did it, but it was removed. I also reported the thief to the owner of Royal Road so that she could inform other authors of their stolen stories that he posted to Amazon. The rest are still up, though, and I don't think that the thief was altogether banned or anything like that, unfortunately.

That aside, I'm very happy again with all of this week's chapters!

I forget if I talked about this before, but I've been writing without listening to music lately. I feel like it's really helped me with my concentration and remembering everything that I write. I normally have music playing 24/7 (been on a SOAD and RATM binge lately), but I've stopped listening to music whenever I'm doing something creative or trying to learn something. At least I still have my fan on 24/7 for background noise.

18,417 words in just 22 hours this week. dat efficiency gain

Back before all the schedule changing and stuff, it would take me 40 to 50 hours every week to write that much. Now, I've cut the time down, increased quality (imo), and have much more free time to recoup my mental health and all that. I'm very happy right now with how things are. Of course, I think it'd be nice if I could write twice as many series as I currently am to take myself up to a consistent 40 hours a week, but I know I'd regret trying that.

The True Endgame

So, I guess that all of my VR stories are basically just going to share a universe at this point because why not? I think that'll be fun. Even my future stories, if they involve VRMMORPGs, will take place in the universe that TTE started. So, even when TTE inevitably comes to an end, the setting will live on.

Plus it just means that we'll get to see some descendants of the current cast with their own stories. Or cameos of current characters. We'll see! 

Ero Dungeon Online

This week and next week are some real life chapters, and then we're going back into the game for a certain character to make her reappearance with a larger focus on the dungeon again.

The Queen's Hound

Surprisingly, reception to the latest free chapter on RR was far more positive than I thought it would be. Both on RR and SH, people actually really seemed to enjoy the fact that Woofen cockblocked himself in favor of character growth rather than burying his bone in Zurie.

Though, we all know he wouldn't have been able to resist if she was in her Padurie form instead of just being Zurie.

Lazy Dragon Queen

Nothing like having a character who can just go and be like "hey, the story isn't progressing, I'm going to force you to do progress and introduce new waifus."

But which waifu will be introduced in the next chapter?

CORE

Not much to say other than that the rest of the volume now is going to be focused on things actually happening. I plan on more progress than pretty much everything before combined happening by the end of this volume, so it's going to be pretty fast-paced probably with quite a few important events happening.

That's the plan, anyways.
