Weekly Update #113

Alright. So, one, I'm really happy with the chapters I wrote this week for everything. Were they late? Yeah. But were they all longer than usual and was I happier with them? Also yes.

That aside, I've noticed a problem. Trying to write a chapter, edit TTE, and then write a chapter for a new series, all in one day, is probably a bit too much for me to handle without going insane. Just writing a new chapter and then editing TTE usually takes me up to about 8-10 hours in a day or 60 hours in a week. Trying to write a new series on those same days as well? Yeah, now that actually would cause me to burn out if I continued trying it. See? I'm careful to not burn myself out.

Anyways, I think what I'm going to do instead is alternate what I work on. So one day I'll edit TTE, then the next day I'll work on a new series, and then I'll go back and forth. So instead of trying to both edit and write a new series in the same day in addition to writing the usual chapters, I'll just alternate which I work on. That means I should also hopefully be able to get more of both done since switching what I'm working on slows me down hardcore. One less switch = more time I can focus on something that I've gotten into the zone with.

Though, this week, while I took a super long time to write chapters, I ended up going a couple of days without any editing/new-series-writing. My sleep schedule is hardcore fucked now. Go figure. I'm just ridiculously more efficient at writing when I wake up in the morning. Waking up in the evenings is throwing me off crazy bad. So, this weekend, I'll take today and tomorrow off to just distract myself with RimWorld in an attempt of staying up all day so that I can sleep at night and hopefully fix my schedule.

47 hours, 29,111 words. A bit less than in the past two weeks due to the above mentioned reasons, but still good! Also, it's funny to me at least how I've gone from, in just a few weeks, from feeling like 12 hours is barely anything to feeling like 47 hours is barely anything.

The True Endgame

Editing is going good overall still! I'm exhausted and don't have much to say, not that I ever really have much to say in the first place when it comes to writing this part of the update. But I will say that I'm really happy with the latest volume thus far. Just writing a bunch of real life chapters has been a nice break, and there are more to come!

And now, perhaps the most requested type of girl that I have had who has been requested in pretty much every single series has finally been more or less confirmed for LDQ. Once she's more of a thing, I'll be able to point at her and tell people to stop asking me for her type since I'll already have one! Now dog girls, on the other hand - people can always ask for more of those.

It was nice getting to write a rambly segment after a while of not really having any rambles. They're really fun to write. Anyways, more serious-ish stuff coming up!

In Closing

I'm so damn tired that I'm about to fall asleep if I don't force myself to play RimWorld for the distraction right away. Fortunately, I also ordered some Thai food and sushi from the new place that just opened up nearby and that should be here in about 30 minutes to help give me some energy and keep me awake.
