I'm The Mountain

Based and heavily inspired by the Stoned Jesus track of the same name. I rediscovered it by complete accident just as I was gonna go to sleep and it sent me on a journey I didn't know I needed. Made an otherwise nightmarishly depressing day feel instead like a difficult psychedelic trip, the kind that ends on a heroic note that makes it worth it in the end. If that's not a metaphor for life I don't know what is, maybe besides the track itself.

There's something cool about becoming a mountain. Metaphysically or literally (like a kurgan, which I can't help but think of given the band is Ukrainian and they've probably seen a bunch in their lives). Isn't it cool to exist as part of the earth? To be built upon? To be the past inside the present? It's something I think about a lot.
