I see people saying that Zecora will save you, but I think it's more likely that Twilight is in the old castle library reading books and hears the commotion outside. She's shocked to see her brother as a young colt again and rushes to his aide believing his current form is due to some dark magic.

You try to cross the bridge in order to find a safe place to rest because of the creatures that are after you. But you lose the last of your energy and pass out in the middle of the bridge. Your mouth loses the power to hold the shining sword and it falls down into the canyon below. Now, without the sword's light, the creatures that followed you slowly walk closer to your defenseless body. It seems like you passed out again. You can’t do anything for 1 turn.
