So you don't know where you are right now. You plan to visit one of the two pony towns close to you, but you don't choose which one you want to visit. All you want is to just reach one of the towns. And a compass will be a good idea, too, unless you remember from earlier lessons how to navigate by the stars. Looks like you'll be following the pony trails, and that will probably be easier to do in the daytime. For now, though, might as well look up in that nearby tree to see if there is a safe place higher up to wait out the night. That will be easier while you have the light from your fire, than if you wait until it dies out.
